How did you heal your ED/PIED?

    Hello, guys!

I am, as most of you, taking this 90 days challenge abstaining from PMO (I am just having orgasms in real sexual experiences).

Things are going well, although my libido is mostly very low. I am improving day by day, but one of the most important things that made me come to this community was the NECESSITY to finally get rid of my ED/PIED.

I am not a boy, but I am not old. I am 32 now. But I suffer from ED/PIED to some degree since I remember having my first real sexual experiences with girlfriends.

I remember failing in my second time, for example. I was 15 yo, more or less. And now I have a huge collection of failures. Through this time, I have much more good stories and good sexual memories than bad, but they happen when I am strictly dating a person for a long time.

For example, when I started dating my first girlfriend, I was 19 yo and, at the beginning, I was very anxious and failed sometimes. After a month or two, sex was great and it just improved through our 4 year relationship.

But my point is: I don't want to be failing now and then. And I am 110% sure that this problem is psychological, comes from anxiety and, yes, from the heavy use of porn through all this years (I think more or less 20 years of abuse, from the magazines to the streaming).

So, my friends, what did you do to overcome definitely this issue?

I would be greatly thankful to read the story of the ones who suffered from ED/PIED and could get rid of this. Of course stopping porn is mandatory. I am also meditating, exercising and have improved my diet.

What else did you do? How long did it take until you felt finally FIXED?

    Thank you in advance!

I suffered or still suffering ( haven't tested myself). My best advice to you would be 100% comitment to No PMO process. Period. Please don't edge because that is worse than relapsing! Every each of us need different period of time to heal, many variables included. Conclusion: be on nofap, trust the process and you are going to be cured 100% NO DOUBT! Maybe I am cured but don't knoe becauze I haven't tested with a real girl but there are indicators that I am maybr healed. Wish you luck!

Thank you for your perspective, @dzigi

I hope you are healed indeed or, at least, on the way to be fully healed!

I am following these guidelines you mentioned and I am trusting in the process. No porn, no edging. Only natural sex (I can't abstain because I'm married).

I hope some people out there who overcame PIED can give positive input here! They are always welcome and inspire us to continue. A big hug!

I hope I definetely overcome PIED. While doing the challenge I already feel I am improving. Also, meditating helps a bunch to manage frustration, anxiety and so on.

I believe that abstaining permanently from porn and taking care of my mental health and my diet will make me beat this life lasting PIED.

It will be nice to read from people with a similar background how long did it take to overcome PIED and what did the person do as a routine.

A big hug to you all!

I just got on "NoFap" and not using porn. It takes 6 weeks to cure my ed. I used magic meds on very first times with my gf.
I've got some help with magic pills at the beginning. So happy I've found "GET365VCL" :) in Google, and got V* . Good luck.

    6 weeks is great, @Klici
I am more than six weeks now o nofap, but still don't feel completely healed. Hope to be soon!

Thank you for your nice reply. I don't want to use any medicine, I prefer to have a natural recovery.

A big hug and stay strong!

I have the same problem and are at the same age, it sucks. I keep relapsing over and over. My record i 62 days, but during that time the libido was zero so it wasn't a struggle. I messed up my relationsship aswell when i went to porn instead of my girl, it's scary actually.

I wish you the best of luck

Some guys here relate to have overcome the PIED after a period of no PMO. I think it is already working for me, but I still have a road to walk.

I hope more people who had ED/PIED can tell their stories to encourage us and to give us a light!

Stay strong, try to meditate to stop relapsing. A big hug!

I’m doing a hard reboot for as long as I can. My ED is getting better.

My libido is not high, but it is ok. I mean: I can have sex and I feel desire, but I don't feel horny or with sexual energy as before. Although horniness can be a problem, I want to get back to this stage again, now that I can harness my urges. I want to be fully sexual and permanently get rid of PIED.

Good to know, man! But how do you know it is improving? From the woods in the morning?

I am having some sexual activities through this period, but I don't feel I am healed yet. Sometimes the penis loses the sensation and sometimes I already feel nervous; or sometimes I feel I am not fully powered, that my penis could have more blood and be harder (as I remember it when watching porn or before the addiction was so severe). I am halfway now to 90 days. And then to the rest of my life without porn.

I hope I improve more and more each day. Stay strong, a big hug!

Here's what I did when I fixed my PIED 1 year ago with a streak of 84 days:

    • NoFap (of course lol) Hard Mode. No sexual stimulation for 30 days, then hugging, kissing, cuddling allowed but no sex until day 60. From day 60 I allowed sex (but didn't get any haha) and allowed a maximum of 1 release via sex per 7 days until day 90.
    • Sleeping at least 8 hours every night. No exceptions. Sleep is bizarrely important during NoFap
    • Exercising a LOT. Exercise is one of the most important habits to have in life. I would rather be a PMO addict and exercise than do NoFap and not exercise. Yes, it's that improtant for overall bodily health. You need to do strength training as well as cardio. These are extremely important.
    • I took L-citrulline and L-arginine to promote better blood flow and for their anti-oxidation workings.
    • Cold Showers
    • Pelvic exercises. In my case down-training since my pelvic floor muscles are too tight. Beware of kegels. Many people here promote kegels, but you first need to know whether you have a strong or weak pelvic floor. If you're pelvic floor is already strong, DON'T do kegels, you may overtrain them and get a tight pelvic floor like me.

My erections are more firm and last a little longer. My sensation is still not great but I’m healing. It’s a slow process and I also am recovering from probe masturbation which requires a longer more intense reboot.

Wow, these are GREAT advices, thank you!

I am following most of the points you mentioned: exercising, both strength training and cardio, taking cold showers, sleeping the best and for the longest amount of time I can~.

I am taking maca root to help with libido issues. In the past I took l-citrulline but it did me feel bad, I had some digestive problems because of that.

I can't go on hard mode since I have a steady relationship and my partner demands sex. But I am trying to rewire this way, with intimate and real and natural sex.

I am practing kegels too, but now I am in doubt if I am doing it right (or if it is good in my case). Did you practice any other pelvic exercise apart from kegels? And how to know if my pelvic floor is already strong?

A big hug and thank you for sharing your experience! Happy that you managed to get rid of your PIED.

    Thank you.
First off, maybe you should explain to your partner that NoFap is serious. If you want to heal from PIED, your brain needs a time-out. If you continue rewiring now too fast, you will successfully rewire, that I am sure of, but you MIGHT still remain with PIED because your sexual centers are still getting overloaded with dopamine from sex. For people who are sexually active, I always recommend what C. Noah always said: '30 days no sex or PMO'. After 30 days no sex, you should add only 1 times of sex per 5 days until you reach day 60. From this moment on have sex only once per 3 days, and when you reach 90 days, do whatever you want. If I was in a relationship, this is what I would've done. But understand, your brain DEMANDS a rest. You having PIED is your brain telling you to STOP.

Considering kegels, I always try to warn people about them since kegels can be very counterproductive if you already have a tight pelvic floor. Also, training them improperly can do more bad than good as well. I suggest going to a pelvic floor physical therapist to firstly find out what the status of your pelvic floor is, and secondly to ask how to contract the right muscles the proper way. A lot of people jump on the kegel wagon real fast and later are wondering why they are seeing small improvements in PIED recovery, because their pelvic floor is overtrained and can't keep up with maintaining erections.

A small test will determine the strength of your pelvic floor muscles. When going to the toilet, imagine you have to pee. Now think about stopping the stream of pee and contract the muscles that make that happen really hard. Hold the tension. Stop until you can't hold the contraction anymore.
How long did you last? 5 Seconds or less? Then you have a really weak pelvic floor. 5-10 Seconds? Moderate pelvic floor. Nothing good, but also nothing bad. 10 Or more seconds? You got a really strong pelvic floor. But beware, strong pelvic floors can also be too tight. I had this problem for years.

Don't be startled by my story though, pelvic floor issues are 100% reversible and manageable. I was still able to get 100% erections with a really f*cked up pelvic floor. I just got really bad anal cramps sometimes and tightness in perineum and around the base of my penis. I also had a weak urine stream. These are all symptoms of too tight pelvic floor

Care to elaborate a bit on that? Is there something I should do, because I'm hitting 20 secs area with ease.

I was doing some kegel exercises about 7 months ago while I was trying to figure out a way to get it up but none since then. The thing is that I remember tightening them all these years during M or while I was trying to have sex or , I guess as a way to maintain erection strength.

If you are hitting 20 secs with ease, then you have awesome pelvic strength. That is good. But, we now need to also know whether your pelvic floor can ALSO relax well. Because a strong muscle that can't relax will develop trigger points and become tense over a period of weeks, months or even years.

Using your PC muscles manually to maintain erections can be counterproductive I think. Your Ischiocavernosus will contract to help maintain the erection (happens autonomic), while the rest of the pelvic floor muscles need to relax. When you do a kegel, you contract ALL muscles in your pelvic floor. This is counterproductive since some of these muscles, espeically the bulbospongiosus are responsible for the ejaculatory control. So when you flex these muscles naturally, you are signaling to them you are ready to ejaculate, and you will fire up that response. And besides that, you can increase tension in these muscles when there is no need for it. This CAN lead to tight pelvic floor muscles over longer times.

But the real thing is, like I said, to figure out whether you can relax the pelvic floor. Any muscle needs to be able to contract strongly, but also relax easily. You can google how to do it. It comes down to belly-breathing firstly, and then 'releasing' the pelvic floor. It literally feels like your perineum and anal area drop a few centimeters to the ground. When you feel that sensation, you know you are truly relaxing the pelvic floor.

First of a quitting porn is not enough ti be cured! You need to quit porn + no fapping! Indicators like morning wood is starting to come back, I can get hard by just a touch, can get hard while standing.
