I think most of us know that relapsing is common when we are depressed, sick, etc.
But lately I've noticed a terrible pattern when I relapse when I'm HAPPY. After a good / successful day I'll destroy myself with PMO. Why? I don't know for sure but there's something inside me that wants to sabotage me. This inner voice that wants to see me NEVER succeed. Ugh.

I think you treat PMO as a reward for your body?

This may be a case of needing more alternatives for R&R.

Perhaps make sure you've got a good number of things you can do at the end of a productive day. If you think you need more rewards, it's probably just your brain chasing that feeling.

I think one thing that helps is thinking forward to tomorrow or next week, knowing there's something fun coming up then. Makes it easier to call it a day without chasing extra highs. Doesn't always work, but that's what I've got right now.

I am guilty of this and it is so annoying. I think when you’re feeling shit you equate it to PMO but when you’re higher you subconsciously rewards your good day with PMO.

  7. Being in good mood means your reward system is in gear, so rewarding things get even more rewarding.
