I have a book about essential oils for health and healing. Their is a page in a book about addiction support. And what it was referring to in the book was addiction to drugs, alcohol, gambling, and other substances or activities. Their is remedies to treat addiction such as using peppermint and sandalwood essential oil.

Peppermint essential oil aids the cravings that can lead to a relapse it can be diffused, or worn in an aromatherapy pendant, or dotted onto a cotton ball near the person in need of support. cilantro and grapefruit essential oils also help stop strong harmful cravings, whether for sugar, alcohol, or other addictive substances.

For Sandalwood essential oil it ease withdrawal. it has a potent calming effect that can ease the transition from addiction to sobriety. Diffuse the essential oil in the area where the sufferer spends the most time, or add sandalwood essential oil to an aromatherapy pendant. and can also add 1 or 2 drops to a cotton ball in a bath or shower. If sandalwood essential oil is not available, it can also be used with grapefruit, lavender, lemon, roman chamomile and tangerine.

I never tested these out before, but would these remedies help for treating pmo addictions?

  2. I find they are nice for giving your daily environment (your room or your living room) a change. Also, they seem to trigger pleasant feelings and associations. I had thought these were the dumbest things ever, but now I use one at work and one at home. Not a cure, but for some people, they provide a calming effect. Nothing wrong with that.

I recently heard of some pepper ("monk pepper", not sure of the translation, it was in France) which has an effect on your libido by lowering it. Some kind of anti aphrodisiac. I didn't try it but since there exists aphrodisiac it may exists the opposite. Some monks used it as a belt. It's not a cure but if it works it surely can help to reboot because it will reduce urges. If someone wants to try it, let the community know ;)

Don't say this man or it won't work anymore  !
More seriously, you need a study to prove that it works OR that it doesn't. So we just don't know.

  9. I just find it pleasant and it's something I can control. I enjoy the ritual of it, and I get compliments from people - specifically, the women I work with - who enjoy the scent and speak to me about it. Kind of different from the old porn habit!
