Hi guys, this post is for people who are confused about what to do after achieving 90 days hard mode target - you might be thinking of introducing masturbation once a week or so.

But take my advice. Don't ever masturbate again. It makes a huge difference. Even if you've been on day 180 or 360 or 720 or whatever, just don't masturbate again. If you start seeing signs of improvement and are tempted to check your progress, just stay away from masturbation at all cost. This is one mistake that I made after achieving 90 day targets. Masturbation will kick back your recovery by atleast 10 days. You'll feel shitty, you'll feel week, you'll feel anxious all the time. So just don't do it.

The biggest mistake you can ever make in your journey and even after achieving all your goals is "Masturbating"

Don't think too much, just stay away from masturbation, eat good food, sleep good and everything will fall back into place. Be disciplined. Don't think too much of your problem or your countdown. I know it's hard but try getting a hobby. For me, I think about how I will renovate my new home or take self defense classes when I get time in a few months. This keeps my mind off this problem. If you keep thinking of this problem of yours, you'll just make it bigger in your head. Nothing is wrong with you, you'll get better, you'll have great sex. Be positive and remember, no masturbation !

Edit 1: This post is primarily for those who are confused how to proceed after completing 90 day hard mode. Some of you might not agree with "no masturbation", its your belief, practice whatever suits you, its your choice :)

It’s so hard when this has been a part of me for so long I can’t stop I hate going through this emotional state to quit porn it’s got a grip on me and it’s never letting me go to try to stop masterbate but I can’t then when I do my anxiety gets bad because of porn and masterbate and I know I’m better then this but it still hooks me back in

    Hi BumbleTheBee
I have no issues with you telling us of the benefits you claim to get from not masturbating. There certainly is something very empowering about making a choice (like kicking a habit out of your life for good) and sticking with it.
However I don't think it's wise to tell people that they will feel weak, shitty and anxious "all the time" when they masturbate. Because it's not true. Masturbation is an activity like any other. It's the circumstances and the way we think about it that largely influence the way we feel after we've done it. See by demonizing masturbation and stigmatizing it the way you do, you doom people, who believe you, to feel bad after they've masturbated, even tho they didn't have to and maybe wouldn't if they didn't read your post.
This trend of going after masturbation on this forum is very big, and you're by far not the only one who's doing it. I can understand it, when we fight our porn addiction, we have a critical eye on all our sexual self-abusive behavior and rightly so. But know that there are many people who can watch porn and have their life in order just like there are people who can masturbate and feel great afterwards.
So rather than making absolute statements about an activity that is practiced by most, try to keep it more personal and related to your own experience and people can form their own opinions.

I've nothing against this practice but this is just an advice for those who are in their recovery.

Btw this website is called nofap which means no masturbation so it’s no surprise that a lot of us are pro no-masturbation??

The section is called "porn recovery" not "masturbation recovery", so it's a surprise that a lot inflate the two as if they were one problem. Again, for some masturbation is a problem, but by far not for everyone, and people here tend to be absolute in their language instead of personal when they talk about the negative effects of jerking off.

Your confusion stems from the popular misconception, that NoFap is somehow an anti-masturbation site. This believe is understandable due to the the name, which suggests it's all about "not fapping". But that is not correct. NoFap is mainly about not watching porn. Abstaining from masturbation can be a part of the equation, but it's not mandatory. When you go to the "About" tab in the top and read a little bit, you'll find the following paragraph making this clear:

I would not give up masturbation if I could practice it in controlled manner. Your body does get used to abstinence over time, but I do believe there is nothing wrong with masturbation per se, if it doesn't go into extremes. For me personally that train has left the station. My brain is so much preconditioned after 25 years of compulsive MB abuse that there is no other way than MB abstention for life.

The positive thing about a monk mode is that I do have extraordinary high level of testosterone for my age (1253 ng/dl). My doc couldn't believe measurements from the lab and ordered double check. 2nd results measured (1143 ng/dl). He said to me that anything above 1200 is high even for 18 yo and that my values (38yo) should have been somewhere between 300 and 800. He thinks I'm taking anabolic steriods LOL and I couldn't tell him what has really changed. Maybe all the normal T charts are abnormal, because so many men jerk off too often that abnormal has become the new normal. I used to get reading between 250 and 300 (too low) just 2 years ago when I still jerked off like crazy and my doc was asking me, if I'd consider doing testosterone therapy so I'm definitely not genetically predisposed to have high T levels.

With that being said, there are also some negatives. I became more aggressive so I had to learn how to control my temper (daily exercise, meditation-prayer), my body hair growth exploded, not very nice having getting body hair everywhere and I got very oily skin and getting acnes like I had when being a teenager.

This is how something pretty science backed as porn/sex/masturbation addiction goes to the realm of pseudo science, self-fulfilling mass delusion and the creation of 'guru'-like personalities that generalize their personal 'truth' to everyone. I apologize for the harsh words but I feel that there's a necessity to counter nonsense like this.

If porn and masturbation didn't create a problem in your sex life, you wouldn't be here in the first place, so abstaining from porn and masturbation is not a pseudo science. People have repeatedly seen benifits and posted the same here.

    Sorry for the harsh words.

As for science, it keeps evolving, may be 10 years from now scientist may say that - yes, porn and masturbation is not good for health.
