    Hi yall
So I am on day 32 of nofap free from pmo.So I started watching season 5 of game of thrones (tvshow) as some of you know 4 episodes are already out:)...alot of sex scenes and naked woman.I get a little bit of erection but most of all i feel wave flows through my brain.Has anyone experienced that?Does sex scenes slow my recovery ?

I think if you are getting erections it is not good. My husband was able to watch it without getting erections but he stopped watching it anyway. His view on sex and over sexualization of women on tv/movies changed his whole outlook on what he was going to allow into his mind. You asked the question because I think you already know the answer.

Thank you Limeaid for replying,I would not say it was an erection it was more of a rush before you get one.So your husband has completely stopped watching the show.

Maybe it would be better if you watched it with someone? I love the show and watched the first episode of S5 this afternoon with a relative. You'll probably feel more embarrassed than aroused when watching sex scenes with someone else. There's that feeling of awkwardness, and 'when's it gonna finish', rather than getting too into it.

If you are genuinely wishing to stop objectifying women, why would you watch a TV show that objectifies women? o_O

Thankfully I watch Game of Thrones with my family so if I were to do anything out if the ordinary it would become very.. awkward..

I will keep an eye out for episode 4, but how I feel lately I think I can handle it. :) feeling like my old normal self

Unless you're M'ing to GoT, or always M'ing to porn after an episode, I don't think you need to stop watching. It's a phenomenal show. Best currently on TV imo. Yes the show features a lot of nudity and whores, but there are also plenty of strong and respected female characters. It's not all about sex/objectification (ie Mad Men).

Like needachange said, watch with a friend or relative. It's more fun that way anyway.

For masturbation/porn addicts to watch a show with loads of nudity and sex scenes on the basis of the comments above is just rationalisation. Who are you kidding? o_O

@IGY I understand your point, but for me that would not make me relapse I have seen positive changes for just for 32days without pmo.The only problem I have with the show is it affecting me mentally without me knowing.

Interesting. I almost never disagree with you IGY, but I feel compelled to here.

Game of Thrones is an awesome show because of the writing, characters, and the general world it creates. It's so immersive. If a Fapstronaut watches it for the quality of the show, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. If they watch it only because there may be nudity then that's a problem.

I guess it comes down to the individual. If one is watching it for the show itself, and they can control their any urges they may feel during it, then it's fine.

It's like, if I love surfing, I'm not going to stop surfing because there may be triggering outfits at the beach.

mav, no such luck for david-ca. Also, all you can say is that it has not caused you to relapse so far. Why expose yourself to this shit?

EDIT: Well, I feel compelled to disagree with you giggleshmack. I don't see if the show is otherwise any good or not has got anything to do with it. We are encouraged to avoid triggering material. If someone watches a show like that when they are at greater sensitivity to normal, it is likely they will be triggered even if they have got through it before.

@IGY you can easily skip the sex scenes and enjoy the show

In which case, you have answered your own question at the start of the thread - skip the nudity and sex scenes and don't compromise your recovery.

Not a big fan of the hive mind approach here IGY.

I do mostly fast forward those scenes or look away. Its a distraction to the actual content and is simply thrown in by HBO.
