UK porn ban - Where do you stand?

Im afraid that those devil money hungry compaines sell your information or devour your credit crad acc when you dont know it. Excluding that, I agree with the age ban

 

It's rather dumb. Like it's been pointed out VPNs will help people pass it. Also, not every porn site will be banned. People will still be able to access NSFW Reddit and more obscure porn sites. And another ridiculouss thing is that the company that owns 3 of the largest porn sites in the world have actually been put in charge of carrying out the ban by the British government. I've also heard the porn ban is just actually testing ground for the government to ban other things on the internet. It was supposed to be passed earlier this year but the wrong people signed the papers so the government put it on hold. The British government is just stupid!!!

 

I'm all for it. Yes, people will use VPN's to bypass etc, but you have to be old enough to know how to use a VPN and get access. I would have never been exposed if such a ban was in place when I was younger. In the end the U.K government failed to implement it, i think they are still trying but i doubt it will go through...

 

There are plenty of videos on yt showing these moped gangs made by "visitors", who hijack and steal bikes, rob and loot stores. There are volunteers that collect intelligence, find them and call the police. The sad truth is in the comments. British people say that the police don't chase the gangs because they are too busy chasing natives for downloading copyrighted software. Later, the police released some videos showing police cruisers crashing on stolen scooters while pursuing them. I don't know if that means that things have changed, only London residents can know that. If nothing has changed, we'll probably see many people getting arrested with one hand in their underwear...

 

In india all porn sites are banned but everybody is using free vpn apps to access porn sites.

 

Oh my God do you honestly think that a ban will work. Legislation usually is all words and no action. And honestly there are VPNs and online websites where you can just simply download this type of stuff. So I don't think this will help. I personally don't think that the ban is worth it. Teenagers can always find ways around bans or stuff like that. My little brother is a giant fan of porn and I mean I can't blame the kid he's 14, so honestly it would be a pain in the ass for us if the ban will be settled in. Right now he just watches this website: https://www.freeuseporn.com. I just don't think it will be a good law to pass, I mean the Japanese definitely don't ban porn and they are one of the most advanced nations in the world
