    ^ For me I mean...

Resisting the urge NOT to indulge my thoughts/fantasies and let my mind run with them is the HARD part for me.

Like I could quite happily never watch porn again, but my memory bank is stacked with images that I don't even need to look it up. But it's this past porn usage that occasionally rise to the front of mind and it's those I am battling.

I can literally feel my heart start to race & my pulse increase when they do. I have to be so vigilant not to let them run wild.

    Does anyone feel the same?

Go have sex man. That energy that causes you to run wild with sexual thoughts is natures way to tell you to get laid. We can't contain and push down everything that bubbles up in us, we need a healthy ventilation system for it. When you stopped jerking off to porn you took a vent away, you have to make sure you have a different one. Otherwise you'll be distracted all day long.

we are faced with the disturbing realization that all REAL scientific knowledge of human psychology has been reverse engineered and weaponized to cause us HARM and drive us insane by an enemy that is absolute evil and malevolence

I have a suggestion for a mental exercise that has helped me in the past. When you gave a particular image or thought plaguing you, try visualizing it as an old school photo, then mentally put a lighter under it and let it burn away. I find that after doing this a few times, my mind no longer conjures up that image. Can be helpful in cleaning up the mental memory banks.

I know exactly how you feel. I quit looking at it ten years ago but the images appear in my head. Wouldn't it be great to have an off button?!
