I think one of the major reasons for my relpase is boredom. When you got nothing else to do you fall back into porn, and eventually porn leads you to masturbation . Don't tell me to find a new hobby or something like that. That doesn't work well with me. When the thought comes nothing else matter. I wanna fight this battle in a new way. Please help me.

Ik this sounds simple but u have to consciously recognize in that moment that you're about to fap and make an effort to stop. Whether u have to force yourself to get out of bed and walk around or go outside but anything that gets u out of that environment. When the urges hit, they hit hard but u have to take a moment and remember why u started. Remember this post and how bad u felt afterwards and ask yourself do u really wanna go through all of that again for just a few minutes of pleasure. In a way u have to mad at yourself and make a change. I hope this helps.

Its like you are saying, boredom is my problem, but I don´t want to change anything!
I am overweight, but don’t tell me to do sports or change diet, that won’t work for me...

Hobbys are good, do something that you like, listening to music, visiting friends or family, but you won’t see progress if you don’t change!

I try do do sports now, although I don’t love it.

    Do you use apple?

  4. Yep--the attack of the BLAST (Bored, Lonely, Angry, Stressed, Tired). So how do you think you can and should address the boredom? It's great you've identified it as a major trigger. You said don't ask about hobbies--so I'm just curious how you are addressing it. Thanks.

How about getting to ask questions about things? For some reason, many times it can spur interest in something, even to the point of being absorbed by it. Time might elapse without you noticing.

Ok, with apple you could have put up restrictions, that would have made it real harder to relapse!

Brotha you just need to remind yourself that only YOU are in control of your actions. Have the urge to masturbate? Get up and take a cold shower. Thinking of sexual thoughts which are going to lead to masturbation? Go on a walk or do anything that will distract you.

  10. I did NOFAP for about 4 months and this was my best record. And what made me succeed is that I was in University and I didn't have much time to watch porn. But when study finished I came back home and I relapsed. The reason in my opinion me too is boredom.

I think that boredom is what makes people relapse all the time, So my advice to you is that you need to get busy, and don't think about porn because you will gradually find yourself watching porn again, so stop it from the beginning.

I've been succeeding so far by maintaining a strong conviction over why I stopped PMO. We can all know something on the cognitive level, like PMO is bad, but your subconscious has to realize that it's a bad choice. Otherwise, you'll just keep relapsing. So I wrote up a document of the benefits of nofap; like more confidence, I can handle relationships with girls better, my grades in school are better, etc. and ending with NEVER AGAIN in bolded and underlined letters. Then, when you're having difficulty, stare at your document. Don't take a walk, don't go for a drink, just stay at your computer and stare at it, repeat "NEVER AGAIN" outloud and maintain your conviction.

We've all heard the story about the addict that doesn't want to be helped. We all know it ends in relapse the day after rehab. It's the exact same way with PMO. Distraction works only until it doesn't, and that's when you're in trouble and need something to support yourself.

As much as you may not want to, make yourself leave the house or have some company all day, don’t give yourself the free time! :)

  15. Just stay busy and limit your PC time. Keep re enforcing why you are abstaining from PMO.
