The motivation in what you say is great.I enjoy using such motivational thinking when I'm maybe struggling with running etc.
However personally with this situation its not about conquering it and trying to gain a feeling of being in control. I have been in control and actually i was conquered. I don't think I can get my satisfaction from believing I conquered this, I feel a sense of achievement and satisfaction will have to come from other aspects of my life as my addictions will always require maintenance and work.

I have been cured from DP/DR brainfog. Remember that you are cured when you completely forget about it. When you wake up you wont care and wont even look if your sight is normal or if anything is real. Because this is reality the only thing that is changing is us, not reality itself. When you are cured you will know that there was nothing that should scare you and you will just laugh. REMEMBER ITS NOTHING YOU ARE NOT SCHIZO OR ANY SHIT!! BE YOURSELF YOU DIDNT LOSE YOURSELF!!

    So what's the solution?

You need to be committed at all costs if you ever want your life back. This addiction will bring you to your fucking knees. More than any other addiction. And, for me personally, is way more damaging in its effects. And I speak from experience. But we can't just white knuckle this. Perhaps in the early days, yes, together with distraction techniques. These will get us through the initial 7-14days with hard work. For the long term, we've really gotta take a hard look at ourselves and our lives. Introspection. Ask yourself 1 question. Are you happy? And if the answer is no, then ask yourself WHY. If we don't address this, then we will always end up back in the same place. In my experience, and humble oppinion, people generally over complicate addiction. So let's simplify it. What is addiction? The dictionary defines it as a behaviour which 1. We cannot stop and 2. Has negative reprocussions. So what is a behavio

So which are the distraction technique?
