    Hello all,

I have decided to join this community because I want to make a change in my life.
I have a pornography addiction and I am tired of it. Tired of liking it, tired of craving it, tired of feeling defeated by it, tired of hurting others and myself. Pornography saps not only my energy, but also my time, and poisons my heart. It makes me look at women in ways that simply reduce them to a mere means to an end. I wish to look at persons.

I have been dating this wonderful woman for the past 2 years, and I want to someday marry her; yet, I am unable to conquer this addiction. I pray that you all can help me overcome this burden. I would appreciate your encouragement, prayers and your keeping me accountable.

Please help me end this habit. Thank you.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!
I'll try my best to be active here. My issue has always been consistency in keeping up with my commitments. What advice can you give me for that?
    Many thanks

Consistency is a common problem to most of the people. There is actually a small tip.
1.) Never think about what happened in the past or what would happen in the future. One day at a time. One moment at a time.
2.) Keep yourself busy all the time. Trying to not think about pmo is also thinking about pmo. Understand this and go forward
3.) Make a positive substitution for pmo. For example praying to god, going to gym, learning music etc.
The fact that you are here in itself shows how sweet and sensitive you are. It needs a lot of guts to tell out about this dangerous habit. You did it and you already got half of the success. What remains can only be achieved with a lot of willpower. Hope you will find your source of willpower. All the very best for your journey. We are all with you.

Thank you friend. Prayer is definitely one of the weapons I intend to take up, but your suggestions are very a propos and practical. I will definitely make use of them. Cheers!
