    Hey all,
Been really struggling to fall asleep since starting nofap.
    Did anyone else experience this?

I used to masturbate right after going to bed most nights and it would help me fall asleep but since I can't do that anymore I need to find something to help me get to sleep quicker (tried sleeping tablets, didn't help much).
    Any tips?

  2. Try staying cold, when i have sleeping issues, i always fall asleep faster when im a little it cold. Good luck

  3. chamomile tea, the joy of painting with bob ross, meditation (knocks me out like a light at night lmfao), listening to very relaxing music (no high bpm)

the worst but maybe maybe effective advice i can give you is to watch something on youtube or tv until you knock out. but the blue waves will mess with your sleep

There are many ways to do it. But I think one of the keys is a routine. A trigger. Just like the trigger to PMO you can trigger to ZZZ. There are of course various substances, pills and powders. Meditation. Breathing exercises. Mantra or prayer. Or a combo. I think the key is to be consistent. Good luck.

  5. What's your daily routine in detail? There must be some factors responsible that escaped you. Maybe caffeine intake etc

I have been reading, and listening to meditation music. The problem is not making myself feel sleepy, I am feeling sleepy and tired as normal.
I am just not falling asleep once in bed, which is really annoying when you are actually tired! :( I don't drink coffee in general so its not that. I think maybe I have gotten so used to the prolactin release from masturbating it has wired my brain to associate it with sleep. I guess I just need to train my brain out of that over time.

Sounds like sexual exhaustion insomnia.. I've been going through it as well. GABA supplements worked wonders for me and of course no PMO.

yes. That’s very true. It’s hard to choose the suffering now but well worth it!

Insomnia is a normal withdrawal effect from PMO addiction. It can be brutal, but in time it will go away. For me there wasnt too much to be done. Sometimes i would have a shower just to relax a little. Your body needs to relearn how to sleep without aid, just give it time to adjust.

Whats bothering me right now is the constant feeling of pressure around my bladder. It feels like my prostate is about to burst, and its getting difficult to pee. I have to really push it out, it doesn't just flow out as normal. Hope this won't last too long because its really quite uncomfortable

I had a lot of pressure a few days ago but not that serious. Have you seen a doctor?

    Sounds like possibly kidney stones.

Its definitely not kidney stones, they are reportedly more painful than childbirth! haha
I don't think there is anything really wrong so not been to doctor because I know what they will say - you need to ejaculate to drain the prostate!
That is probably the right answer and the logical thing and hopefully I will find a partner to have sexual relase with soon!
I just wondered if this is a passing thing as the body adjusts to not cumming regularly, or weather it can go on longer? If it goes on much longer I will have to masturbate as it is constant discomfort :(
