Stay away from porn at any cost!
Even when you're 100% sure that you are recovered and that you are strong
    stay away, you're not!
You might be recovered but I can guarantee you in 99% that the moment you'll watch porn again it's a game over
    .
this sht backfires at you at the most unexpected moments and that's when you relapse!

It's the same thing like going to the candy store after your dentist told you that you can't eat them, that those candies might harm you.

It's the same thing like going to a party full of alcohol drinks knowing that you can't drink any of them. It's impossible! It will make you miserable.

  4. Besides, porn damages you whether you M to it or not.

It's like being in a room full of smokers. Whether you smoke or not, it's damaging your lungs.

I agree to stay away from porn, but just abstaining is not enough. You've got to figure out what is bothering you to do PMO binges in the first place and address the issue. It might be some childhood trauma, chronic stress, OCD, depression, anxiety or something else. PMO is your coping mechanism. If you don't address underlying issue, stress/anxiety will buildup until you break and start self-medicating with PMO or some other drug of choice again. Once the underlying issue is identified and starting to be addressed, appeal to view porn/PMO will gradually fade away until it becomes a none issue. You'll even find it funny how could you be so hooked up to some pixels on the screen when seeing porn scene. It will seem so boring to you, you'll just switch it off and forget about seeing it soon after. When this happens you need to remind yourself how shitty your life was during addiction to stay vigilant and humble. You never know when shit hits the fan in your life and that's the time when you're most vulnerable to relapse or falling into new addiction.

For me, I'm not sure if it is always about any underlying issue. I can be at peace and content and my ventral tegmental area still floods my mesolimbic dopaminergic pathway and nucleus accumbens with opioids. Of course, the less I respond to my natural inclinations, the more my brain rewires itself. I've found and dealt with many underlying issues, but no matter how many I find, my body's physiological response is still there. Still, I do believe abstinence from PMO will allow a rewiring of my brain over time. Keep abstaining, Dekk!
