I read most of the posts and hardly anyone is mentioning physical recovery from sexual exhaustion symptoms.

Right now I am in two weeks of no PMO and i still have all the symptoms of sexual exhaustion constant inflammation struggle with sleep eye floaters sensitivity to light etc.

Has anyone here had these symptoms and recovered? Would love to hear from people with similar issues to mine

I do have an exhaustion in my eyes, like i don't want to focus too long, and like you were saying a sensitivity to light

Recovery is noticeable after 14 days no PMO.

Could you be a little bit more specific?

Did you have any of these symptoms I mentioned?

What was the first improvement you noticed?

  5. I have it and mine was deep by using pmo together. I'm 14 months clear and still in the reboot stage. I can feel the sexual organs and glands getting cured days by days. It's a slow process if you severe like me. Overall I'd say if you weren't heavy user and a long pmo addict, you should be cured by 90 days.

Very severe for many many years.

I do workout and supplement with everything possible to try and increase recovery but not seeing anything yet and just passed week two.

To add on top of all of that hitting a heavy flatline

  7. I go by this rule. For every year you've been doing pmo, it takes 2 months on average to start getting healed. And that must be hardmode, anything sexual or explicit contents or mo delay the reboot. It's a good thing you try to speed up the recovery building good habits.

I really hope it's faster than that I have been addicted since 14 and i am 39 now.

Really regretting destroying my body with this nonsense

  9. I do regret it as well wasting my 20's in this piece of crap. There are rebooters in their 40's, 50's and 60's who are in this mess. As a Chinese proverb said:" The best time to plant a tree was 30 years ago. The second best time is Now."

The research was done on male rats for sexual exhaustion and their recovery time was two weeks.

However some of us being in constant state of exhaustion for years and years due to this addiction will struggle to recover especially us older guys.

Hey just curious what does any of this have to do with "sexual exhaustion" ? It sounds like you guys aren't talking about sex : /

A week is not enough time to heal.

    Hey bud,

Sexual exhaustion is a term used that probably everyone here on the forums have experienced from excessive PMO addiction.

I am trying to get some insight on physical aspects and personal opinions on recovery timelines.

We often read and talk about the PIED and other stuff but not many posts are around on the physical aspects

Obviously that's a given especially for long term PMO addicts.

Still it would be good to read up on some personal experiences because we are all different

I'm really interested in this. I'm currently going through the flatline of a lifetime. I'm 47, started PMO'ing when I was 11. Half the time I feel like I'm pretty much dead.

The main problem I'm dealing with is physical exhaustion, and the brain fog that goes with it. I've generally PMO'ed less with age, as I've got better at Nofap, but I've long known I wasn't doing well enough. Right now I'm on day 34 of no P (couple of very quick MO sessions to help stay off the P in that period) and feel like sh*t. Not felt this bad since I was in my 30's, when I was PMO'ing every day for hours, not realising that PMO was the cause of my problems.

Right now I am facing loosing my job - doctors think I'm just being lazy, but I'm struggling just to get to the shops to buy food because I'm too exhausted to walk and too dizzy to drive safely most days. The idea of being able to work out is unrealistic for me at the moment. All I can say is, if you're young, you will be better able to recover more quickly - age will affect this (just look at how long it takes to recover from alcohol as you get older). I think this year I've past a threshold for this - before, 7-10 days would be enough to mostly recover from a PMO binge, but now I'm in uncharted territory, and starting to wonder if I actually can recover at all. Please use this as inspiration, or a warning from your future self to quit now, while you are relatively young!

The only reason I've made it to day 34 this time around is that A) I've got minimal interest in PMO due to lack of energy, and B) - I think another binge would end my ability to live independently. I'm praying that this is enough of a low for me to find the resolve never to PMO again, and that I do eventually recover.

Either way - this is a good thread for me, because I'm more concerned with the physical / medical side than trying to deal with ED or get a girl - the chance would be a fine thing!

I am experiencing those very same symptoms. Besides the joint pains and muscle aches muscle twitching and heavy crepitus I am tired all the time.

Luckily I have been training for over 20 years and that has not stopped. I have dropped in volume as I find myself too exhausted.

Supplementing with the right vitamins minerals and yourbrainonporn recommend three coffees per day in the first three weeks to keep energy levels up , will speed up your recovery.

Flatline sucks but it seems that many members here go through it during the recovery. I'm experiencing it right now in my third week of no pmo and it's horrible

  17. Guys, I never thought my reboot would take this long. Yet my addiction was very severe and still thought I would recover before or by 90 days as they say. So the earlier to get serious about it, the better it is.

  18. Same stuff for me, I've been checked as well and everything should be good. The worst feeling is that I'm dizzy, I feel like I'm in the water, floating back and forth, yet I can still stand on one leg and do stuff, so it's not regular dizziness. I know that it's caused by PMO as it'll make it worse. Thinking is also very hard, sometimes I feel like I can literally feel the brainfog. I can't run or do any heavy exercise at the moment. Even walking a short distance is a trial itself.

I'm 4 weeks into no porn and MO'd 3 times within that time with 2 times during the same day 5 days ago and feel like absolute crap. Even a few seconds fap without imagination will set back the progress a lot. If I see a triggering image on the TV/web, that will also set me back a lot. And by triggering I mean just very basic stuff like a sports event, so I can't watch any of those or pretty much any tv-serie for that matter. Every day I feel that I get a small amount of energy back, but it's so little it'll probably take me a year or two to recover from 20+ years of PMO.

I know the feelings all to well. I experienced extreme fatigue, joints pain, chronic headaches (flu like symptoms basically), water retention problems, insomnia (didn't sleep for several days sometimes until my body just switched off from exhaustion), above mentioned eye floaters and light sensitivity (I often pulled down the curtains because of it) on the physical part and wild mood swings, near suicidal depression, anxiety, brain fog on the psych front. The good news is that most of physical symptoms go away after 3-4 months of abstention. Psychological problems are harder to conquer and need a lot of work on your body and mind to conquer, but it's totally worth it. The personal growth and insights that comes as a result of living addiction free life is worth all the pain.

Your mentality when entering abstention should be accepting the pain and suffering in advance. Any change is uncomfortable at first, but getting rid of long lasting addiction is walk through hell. You have to be willing to mentally break yourself before you can get better. Beating addiction doesn't mean finding yourself, but literally recreating yourself, changing the way you live. You have to change the way you look at things, let go of the past anger, pain, resentments, develop new habits, abandon old ones,… and so much more. Abstention is absolutely necessary, but only the first step in the recovery process.

You really need WHATEVER IT TAKES mentality. Whenever I felt like shit, asking myself why I'm doing this FU monk mode during my first months of recovery I listened to Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes song like a mantra, especially red coloured parts:

    Whip, whip
    Run me like a racehorse
    Pull me like a ripcord
Break me down and build me up

    I do whatever it takes
'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains
    Whatever it takes
You take me to the top I'm ready for
    Whatever it takes
'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
    I do what it takes

Sometimes abstention will really make you feel like you are whipped racehorse. In such moments just hold on and remember what you've promised to yourself WHATEVER IT TAKES and you'll get through it. Every day you hold on and walk the walk you're closer to "the mountain top". As Winston Churchill once said: "If you're going through hell, keep going".

If You or or anyone else has any additional questions regarding the topic, I'd be happy to answer the best I can. I know how FU and lost I felt during my early days of recovery and not getting much proper answers.

Did you eat anything specific nutrition wise to try and fastrack the healing process of the physical symptoms?

    Also supplement wise?
