Why do I get a wet dream when I squeeze my perineum when I sleep?

    I have been having wet dreams 3-4 times per week since I quit PMO 10 months ago. I have tried everything and I absolutely mean everything to stop them. I never had this problem during my first streak when I only had wet dreams once every 20-30 days.

    I don’t drink I meditate and do win hof method I do CrossFit I do have done kegels and stopped because they gave me a varicocele. I eat well And I’m ten months into no PMO. I’m so sad that all my effort is for nothing.

    Have you seen a doctor? Kegels give you varicocele so it might be you suffer of some condition. Try some probiotics...microbiome flora/leaky gut can be a big fix for some people....a general health fix.

    Sorry, I don't do kegels anymore BECAUSE they gave me a mild varicocele. I have already seen a doctor, its not harmful and sometimes kegels restrict bloodflow which is why it occurred. The reason why I mentioned the kegels is because I cannot do them (it may make my varicocele worse).

    However, I have noticed when I go to sleep, and I sleep sideways, then I end up with a wet dream. When I say squeeze, I don't mean kegels, I just mean closing my legs/having them right next to each other sideways during sleep. It always causes a wet dream, I don't know why.

    Yeah I know. I have already done that. Wet dreams still suck.

    Keep a leg straight and the other bend at 90 degrees. Its really hard to ejaculate like that even if you stimulate yourself. Its a shaolin pose for nocturnal emission.

    You aren't masturbating when you have wet dreams. In any case, though, the original poster seems to think that having wet dreams is the same as watching pornography, which is discouraging him. This isn't right, because it isn't true. He needs to separate the two problems and address them separately; he's been addressing porn usage very nicely thus far.

    Well, it seems like I misunderstood what you said. Are you perhaps saying that you expected your wet dreams to go away after staying away from porn for so long?

    I have done this and still gotten wet dreams.

    I do not equate wet dreams to watching porn.

    During my first streak, I only had wet dreams once every 30 days and I put NO effort into it. I ate like shit, did not meditate or take cold showers.

    During this streak, I have done 1 million+ things to control or reduce wet dreams like meditating, taking cold showers, doing crossfit etc.

    And I get wet dreams 3-4 times per week. This week, I have gotten them 7 times in 5 days (I think this is because I have nightshifts for this week so yeah). But regardless, I get them 3-4 times per week. The fuck is the point doing nofap if you're just going to get wet dreams. The difference between getting wet dreams 4 times per week/16 times per months and once per month is noticably staggering. Plus all the effort I put in to succeeding...just gone to waste.

    I don't care if I still get wet dreams, BUT I DON'T WANT THEM 3-4 TIMES PER WEEK. This is not liveable. Why can't I just get a wet dream once every 30 days like I used to? What's wrong with me? Why isn'y my body just like everybody elses? Why do I have to put in 1000% more effort only to lower the frequency of wet dreams to 3-4 TIMES PER WEEK?????????????????

    Just to clarify, when I say squeeze my perineum, I'm not consciously squeezing it or doing a kegel.

    I literally just mean sleeping sideways with my legs closed. For whatever reason this gives me a wet dream when I am asleep. But when I do this when I am awake, there is no effect. I think if I know the reason why, it might give me some new insight to look for a new solution.

    I had this too for quite a while after I started my reboot. I still get wet dreams about once every 1-2 weeks on average. I tried a number of different techniques - I drank green tea before bed, went to the bathroom, minimized phone time, tried a qigong technique described by @HMHU in his Soaring Eagle translation here on site.
    Nothing worked long term (more than 3 weeks).
    Recently, I'm trying to get into a mentality that it's not such a big deal. Now, this is particularly hard for me because wet dreams are a big deal in Judaism, but when weighing the options, it's better to feel relaxed when you go to sleep rather than scared to wake up with a wet dream.
     
  12. It builds pressure on your prostate and genitals - muscles, blood in area, nerves. Over few hours during a night it accumulates enough to create a WD. That's what a WD / O is; build up of pressure and then release.
    I'm sure you would get the same effect when awake if you would sleep like this for longer. Or if you would squeeze your legs together tighter.

    Try out 6th Tibetan Rite before bed. Also no food before bed (at least 2 hours, ideally for longer) and your last meal of the day should be light and easy digestible, like some raw vegan salad or something (keep all the meats and heavy stuff for breakfast and lunch).

    well if his energy is dropping down after WD then it is an issue - I have similar problem... whats the point. Of course, not watching porn is ok but maybe with some people such long streaks are harmful and we should do shorter ones... mine WD problems [check my other posts] started to happen after 120 day streak. And I cant get rid of them , its even worse than when I was watching porn because then I could control WHEN I will do it. Last 2 weeks I had probably 10 semen leakages its madness I feel like a pussy again : /

    Why are you so afraid of wet dreams? Having this fear itself can trigger wet dreams. IMO, all you have to do is to embrace them. Just say to yourself, its fine if i ejaculate while I'm asleep, as long as I'm not doing so while I'm awake. If you have this mentality and let go of all your obsessions of not having wet dreams, you won't have them. Look, let me tell you something, nocturnal emission is WAY different from ejaculation while you are awake. Your libido stays high after a wet dream, but not when you ejaculate while you're awake. I know this because I'm married and have the experience. All the harmful effects of wet dreams (which aren't even that harmful) are in your head (it's psychological). If you think this way you probably won't have so many wet dreams. Try it out. There's this old saying that if you run away from something, it will chase you. But if you chase it, it will run away from you.

    I sort of ''started'' to worry about them when I noticed that they DRAIN my energy. After last relapse after 120 days I jumped back on the wagon and on day 15 my energy was going DOWN not up and I was wondering WTF is going on then I realized- it was going down because I was having multiple wet dreams per week and semen was going to my bladder [I never ejaculated onto my sheet etc] - maybe because of the body habit, or maybe because I was practicing kegels and pressing on the '1 million dollar point' that fucked up my valves and now semen goes to the bladder more often idk

    Nothing is wrong with you. And if you feel your energy is going down there could be other reasons. This anxiety is your worst enemy. Besides, your energy going down could either be a sign that you're flatlining, or it is something like a withdrawal symptom of not PMOing. I'm sure you were very frustrated after relapsing after 120 days. This could be another reason. Just relax and don't think you ALWAYS have to have high energy and superpowers. And no, nothing is gonna happen to your valves by just pressing your perineum. Retrograde ejaculation is common during sleep.
     
  18. Perhaps you caused your perineum be over-tight because of kegal training.
    Did you do reverse-kegals as well? Try them if not, and try relax that area,
    like try pelvic floor massage or stretches. Something like this perhaps:

    edit: if someone tries this, remember it is sensitive area, be gental.

    and well my energy loss ....120 days streak, then 1 day 2 orgasms- one with a girl, one PMO, 2nd day - 4 orgasms - then 15 days clean and ...my energy was not recovering but I was noticing cloudy urine for the 2-3 seconds after starting urinating especially at night and tons of erotic sleeps.

    Now I try to lie in a way to not put a pressure on my stomach or bladder but its not possible if I twist and turn in the middle of the night and then I often wake up and have a boner all the time. Its really weird... also I started to suffer from what is prolly urethritis [inflammation of the urethra- maybe due to constant boners at night!] ... maybe my body just doesnt want to rewire Im 36 and masturbating since I was idk.. 7-8-9 years old? Its mad...

    the thing is that before I was having more ejaculations and did not felt the bad effects so much as now. it differs the logic - less poison should poison you less, now it feels like im having allergic reaction to PMO. Or when I climbed that 120 days peak, what was once good level feels crap to me. Idk.

    I am also afraid to resume my sexual life- whats the point if after 120 days of monk mode and several orgasms I reset everything so hard? No girl would want to be with me if I cannot have normal sex. Maybe I just need to wait more. But how long? Soon I'd be too old to date younger girls and I will only be left with escorts. So sad. But I brought this shit upon myself I am the only one to blame.

    I also started to have random pains in my epididymis [something like Epididymitis ] and prostate inflammation. My hormones are very fragile -sometimes I need to take aromatase inhibitors to stop T being converted to excess estrogens.. I believe its all PMO related man. I fucked myself badly, worse than drugs :/

    But there is no going back! I can only push forward!

    I had this feelings of high energy from day 100-120 I felt best in my life! Women were feeling that, and men too. But it was ruined so quickly : [ never again!
