I'm trying to decrease my sugar intake, I barely eat chocolate and stuff but i do want to eat it sometimes and not stop forever, so my question is how frequently can I eat sugar and how much is not too much (not only for healthiness but also nofap because of urges).

  2. I did some research about it and they say that the reccomend daily intake is 30-60 grams
But it's better to keep it less that 40 grams
For me, I eat sweets just once a week
Sugar is addictive, it's better to be mindful and intentional with it
It's same with p , I used to watch it once a week and I was fine
Once I started watching it daily I got addicted

  3. Sugar is not glucose. It is half fructose and half glucose. The sweet stuff is the fructose and is found in everything sweet and in fruit. It's possible and quite common to become addicted to fructose and that is why some people experience withdrawal symptoms and have strong cravings for it. See this UCLA lecture by Dr. Robert Lustig for the biochemical evidence:

Interestingly, the brain only requires a small amount of glucose which can be easily made via gluconeogenesis which is no problem as long as a person eats sufficient protein. This is why some people can thrive on diets like Paleo and keto which restrict most forms of glucose consumption. Also, not having dopamine spikes due to sugar consumption helps when rewiring a porn addicted brain. Dopamine spikes will likely down regulate the dopamine receptors making a reboot take much longer. This is probably why monk mode is sometimes undertaken by Fapstronauts that aren't making progress. Personally, I am sugar-free (0 g per day) and have never felt better in my life.

I do know what you mean, but I do not want to stop it forever, it's like when people that do bodybuilding or sports and all the related stuff, they do a cheat meal. I understand that you mean stop proccesed sugar forever, but if I do wanna eat it and still be healthy (not overeating) my question is how can I do that? I'm always going on a sugar free spree but sometimes I do wanna eat. I will try to slow this addiction to sugars because when I do eat it I feel bad but is there a way to do it without feeling bad? (When it's not that critical?-- cheat meal)

Intermittent fasting, my friend. Some do 16 hours of fasting a day (with an 8 hour eating window), some do 18. I prefer 23 myself. This allows for more freedom in the diet with the occasional sugar. Have a cheat day now and then.

I assume you mean white sugar (as in candy, soft drinks and desserts) when you say you want to cut the stuff. But some carbohydrates have basically the same impact on blood sugar.

Pasta, rice and potatoes should be chilled thoroughly after cooking (and then reheated) as they form resistant starch. This means that your body won't process them in the same way as normally, when these foods would turn to sugar immediately.

Also, really pack on with fruits and berries. When fruits, vegetables and berries are consumed whole, their sugar content is evened out with fibres. You get something sweet but with a nutritional value.

Remember that your body is made to deal with both dopamine and sugar and does this all the time (or you would fall down dead). The point is to stay well below harmful and unnatural levels of both.

Its just better to avoid it all toghether. I've noticed in the past when I've tried to stop, and I do that cheat thing, it jut got worse. I did alot of Omad and that helped alot. Also if you like sweets, why not sub it for a non caloric sweetener? Gatorade Zero is the bomb in my opinion, as it doesnt have that phosphoric acid/citric acid like Coke Zero..But also about 50% of people 30 years or older have periodontal disease, which sugar and bad dental hygiene are to blame. Milk chocolate is all sugar and fat. Dark chocolate is supposed to be good, but theres alot of dispute if the compounds are even taken in by the small intestine. Sugar in any candy form is essentially Trigylcerides when it goes into the body, which form alot of LDL and vLDL in the body..

  7. I quit sugar for 90 days. The 90 days are up and I am still going. I may have some sweets on major holidays or something, but it will no longer be a regular part of my life. It is essentially a poison.
