the emotional strain and withdrawl of no sex.

you must undertand the function of orgasm.

    read 'the function of orgasm'

  3. Again, this shows me absolutely nothing. There's plenty of examples of cases like that here, I can find them easily. This isn't what I asked to be shown.

Every symptom in that list could easily be caused by prolonged depression. People seriously underestimate the physical effects of poor mental health.

I logged in my reddit the other day after not logging on in long time, I messaged a guy on there that I hadn't spoken to since early 2018, he's stil on nofap for over 3 years now and he is basically at the same conclusion as me about so called PAWS doesn't exist in the way thats being described on nofap forums.

I'm a very open minded person and I admit my latest opinion could be wrong but you have to start thinking logically, where are all these cured people? There's really not many of them at all, and how many years do you wait for yourself to feel better without anything really changing ?

State of anhedonia is real physical phenomena and it can last until dopamine deficiency exist. But yes anything beyond 60 to 70 weeks should probably be contributed to preexisting dopamine deficiency not as a side effect of addiction. 5. Yeah that's a somewhat complex possibility of what I'm trying to say.

What I would probably add is that depression and neurological / physical symptoms can be so much more complicated than dopamine or serotonin deficiencys.

There's been many brain scans of people with perfectly normal levels of neurotransmitters yet they have severe depression etc.

There's also been xrays of people that have crippling severe back pain yet the xray shows a perfectly well above average healthy spine (I realise I'm going a bit off topic here )

I agree. I listened to a lecture of neurosurgeon on how important the right cocktail of brain chemicals really is for our mental health. The same hormones even take different roles in different parts of the brain. One study noticed that too much dopamine in certain area of the brain can actually cause OCD and addictive compulsive behaviors like uncontrolled gambling. He said neuroscience knows very little about brain chemistry as a whole. It makes sense since SSRIs help only 30-40 % of clinically depressed ppl and do even worse when it comes to treating mild to moderate depression. We just don't know enough.

Thanks. But I don't have time to read a book that's decades old.

I've lost 70-80 lbs. in the last year. A lot of that I attribute to intermittent fasting. Mostly, I've narrowed my eating to a couple meals per day and not eaten outside an 8 hour eating window.

Yeah, I'm currently doing Intermittent fasting too. My body looks more defined now, but this is only in the upper body. The lowe body, especially concentrated on the buttocks, is slowly gaining a little bit of weight everyday.

    It's really strange.

yes exactly. not enough pleasure is stressful. too much is stressful.

motivational theory states our will is to achieve equilibrium, neither extreme, although where that equilibrium lies is hard to discern.

sexologists say average couple has sex 2-3 times a week.

    UPDATE:

It's still happening on a daily basis. I've been searching and searching the Internet, and I haven't come even close to find a case like mine!

Even if it's too much Estrogen, I'm still not getting the other symptoms (ie, man boobs).

I just don't know what to do, man. I mean I could try cardio, but there are to points hindering this:

    1. The fat gain is happening daily
    2. If I start doing cardio, most of the weight will come off the upperbody first which means it will make the look even worse! (ie, very slim upperbody and fatter lower body! Who wants that?? it's a strange look!)

Are you sure that you are gaining fat ? I'm thinking it could be psychological bias. Have you tape measured your glutes ?
Also, are you gaining weight overall, or does your body weight remain the same ?

I have measured the glutes, yes. It largely stayed the same size apart from slight deviation every now and then.

However, my clothes are getting tighter and tighter at the buttocks area and even my trousers (at the top) is sort of pointing down due to the growth of extra layers just above my arse cheeks. Like an anterior tilt, I mean.

I'm trying to build muscle, but not getting anywhere these days despite building muscle easily all my life. I'm also not getting a proper pump at the gym. All the signs are pointing towards testosterone definciney, which unfortunately is making me more anxious and depressed about my erections (As PIED was not enough!) and eventually my whole bloody, sad, desparte, pathetic existence.

My tolerance to life is seriously getting lesser and lesser. I just want, for once in my life, to experience a happy spell. sp sad and sick of it. :( :( :(

    I think you're onto something.

The exact opposite has happened to me.

During my last months of porn, I was gaining an enormous amount of weight. My diet was good. I was working out.

Now, I've quit. Last week i literally dropped 5.4 percent body fat in a week.

It should be noted that I've cut out all sugar as part of my reboot and since I'm on break, I'm going to the gym every day instead of four times a week. That has something to do with it.

But, i cant help but think there might be something hormonal going on related to quitting porn.

  17. Yeah it seems in severe cases that our hormones could be messed up or brain chemically unbalanced. If your brain changes(reboot phases) by abstaining from pmo, it could cause weight on and off.

In that case, this is the reason why you lost weight!

Again, it's because you're doing the necessary things to lose weight. (good diet and exercise)/

I believe it's hormonal, yes. But rather than due to porn, it could also be down to the chronic/intense emotional stress, to be frank.

No idea where to go with this one now!
