Starting my 15 day Transformation challenge

Discussion in 'Self Improvement' started by Deleted Account, Oct 12, 2019.

  1. Just wanted to make an update that I am going to start a 15 days challenge and key points I will be following through out this phase -

    0. Nofap on hard mode is a must , it will help me preserve the essential minerals and nutrients in the body which is a must when one is in detox phase.

    1. Phone use will be brought down to bare essentials. It will help me get rid of phone addiction which results in less productivity.

    2. Eat less and detox . During this challenge I wont be having heavy meals. Short and balanced diets will be the key. As I am also aiming for weight loss, will cut salts , sugars and carbs to very minimum.

    3. Regular 10 min meditation session is a must do.

    4. Cardio and High Intensity Short Interval Calisthenic Training is what I am going to focus to get back into perfect body shape.

    NOTE : Getting fit (physiologically and mentally) is 65% diet and 35% exercise

    5. Waking up early and sleeping at the " right times " will add to the process of lowering down my body inertia.

    6. Intermittent Fasting and Fasting is a must for quick weight loss.

    7. GET SHIT DONE. Yeah it will enhance my productivity . I will make an aim for 3 days and break it into micro tasks that I will achieve daily to complete the task.

    GOALS AT THE END -
    -> Stronger discipline and have a winning momentum.
    -> 5 - 7kg weight(fat) loss
    -> Detoxing and lowering down the body inertia to a subtler level.
    -> High energy and being more "alive".
    -> Phone De-addiction.
    -> Finishing my self-undertaken projects and being more productive .
    -> Being more calm and composed.

    Great list! Looks challenging but achievable and 15 days is a nice target. You can do it!

    The above are great goals although I believe in the fact that body changes happen in part 50% diet and 50% workout ethics. A person who does not workout at all will see no improvement to their body. Vice versa a person who works out 3 hours a day will not see changes if they continue to eat more than before.

    The idea of also losing 5 to 7 kg of fat only is unrealistic. Most peoples resting metabolic rate is around 2000 calories for males and 1800 for females. You are expecting to lose 3500 calories a day meaning you will not be able to eat anything at all even if you assume that with your exercise routine that you will hit a total expenditure rate of 3500 calories a day.

  4. Thanks mate. Good luck to you as well on your journey

  5. Firstly, thanks for the encouragement. i really appreciate it.

    Though, i would not like to argue too much , but i have researched and met and seen many people getting fit by mainly focussing on their diet.
    30% workout is sufficient in the sense that you have to cut down the total meals to 1 or 2 at the most + intermittent fasting and fasting is suggested on 5:2 in a week(5 days of 1 or 2 meals and 2 day fasts) . No workout is never an option but less workout and strict diet is one sustainable option (though i am doing a lot of cardio and HIIT )
    I agree with you on this one totally . The main reason for me personally is
    " i love the low of failing a difficult challenge much more than the high of achieving a smaller goal."

    I started Intermittent Fasting (16:8) exactly four months ago and at the same day I stopped watching porn videos.
    Before that I was already pretty athletic, but managed to exactly drop 5kg and I have been plateauing for the last 2 months.
    I'm still not at 10% Body Fat, but I'm extremely happy with the IF benefits, not just the fat loss.
    Just try it for a month, because you got nothing to lose. However be aware that the first week can be hard.
