NoFap doesn't suit me. I'm doing "LowFap"

    Disclaimer: I think this post might be considered as controversial and provocative despite the fact that's not my goal. Only my own experience... One can be happy even if one sometimes wanks, yes.
    However, huge PMO addicts have to be really careful as a "LowFap" lifestyle is likely to be the slope to a massive relapse.

    How I manage my fapping sessions/sexual intercourse: The rules are very simple.
    - Fapping is allowed every 4 days MAX. If I can last longer, I do so. Likewise, if I don't feel horny, then I won't "schedule" a fapping session only because this is the fourth day.
    - If I have sex, I allow myself to wank only 4 days later as well.
    - Conversely, if I wank on Day 1, I won't forbid myself to have sex on Day 2, that would be weird.

    And guess what? I'm much more comfortable with this method although it doesn't seem to be "perfect". As long as it doesn't impact my productivity or happiness level, that's fine, right?
    I fapped yesterday on the evening, and today I achieved many things at my work.

    The NoFap challenge is unsustainable on the long-term in my personal and humble opinion. I'm impressed by the guys who can but I can't. And I'm writing this topic for the sake of unshaming the guys who are feeling miserable to fap.
    As for me, I'm getting more and more nervous, I can't sleep at night, and so on... maybe because I have never been that lazy even at the time I was deeply addicted.
    The famous brain fog that is mentioned here and there is actually occuring when I am NoFap... Surprisingly, I'm getting a bit more mental clarity after a fapping session. That's even better after a sex session in real life.
    I guess it stems from the fact I am free from sexual desires and able to focus again on my business.

    Once again, I put a disclaimer, because I started the NoFap journey 2 years ago (I had an other username), and I think I would have been too weak to manage the so-called chaser effect...
    An entire hardmode reboot should be wiser for "newbies" in this NoFap topic.

    Important sidenote: obviously, I don't lowfap using porn, but as if I meditate. I focus on the NOW, my breathe, my body... without fantasizing on porn stars, of course.

    What you do with masturbation is entirely up to you. Don't feel like you're unwelcome here. I don't see eye to eye with you, but that's OK.

    I have been addicted to lots of things and have attempted to cut down instead of abstaining. Everytime, like you, I have seen good results from cutting down and regulating. My main problem has always been keeping up the regulation long term. I have usually slipped back to square one after a while. If this happens then abstinence for a period of time might be helpful. This was the case for me with alcohol. I stopped completely for several years. I now have 2 or 3 beers a month which is plenty for me.
    If you find yourself being unable to self regulate then maybe consider a reboot as a short term intervention while you change habitual behaviour.

    Hi. Your idea is controversial but I know the point of it. I agree with you in some ways.

    If you have life which is properly sorted, there is no 100% necessity to NoFap. You should give up porn but masturbation itself isn't so harmful, as long as you're not treating your penis like happines valve. You know what I mean.

  7. Im pmo free now for 5 weeks. And i feel.as though im pretty well cured from P. At this point i think i. Still too weak to do MO without slipping. But once I get to a point where Im comfortable, i am considering a system similar to yours. Im married and my sex drive is higher than my wifes meaning that I could stand sex more frequently. So by an occasional MO I think i can suppress some of my overly horniess. Also due to no PMO and sex onky once a week, it has caused me to.not be able to last as long before O during sex. So with occasional masturbation i know I can get that time back up to normal for me.

    Every four days fap, that's still a lot of fapping. You will thin your hair too with all the DHT buildup from all the fapping and end up looking like Der Coomer of internet fame.

  14. Hard mode is not meant to go on indefinitely, it's just for a period necessary for breaking the habit of compulsive fapping. Some enlightened individuals might want not to touch their peepee ever again but I don't think that's the majority lol

  15. For me there just is a point where the longer I wait the more I have spunk on the brain. Can't think, can't do anything until I Masturbate. I usually do it once a week. Long as I don't look at porn I consider it a success

  16. That's okay. Imo everyone should take path what is most suitable to them. People are not from same mold.

    I've tried many ways, like every 1 week, every 2 week, once a month. Every 1 week because they say
    that on around day 7 there's testosterone spike. Every 2 week because i've read dopamine reaches
    its normal levels around those days (elevated back to normal). Once a month, just for experiment.
    The best, most couraging has been every 2 week cycle.

    Even though 2 weeks cycle has felt best, i'm still interested testing my limits by these a lot bigger time scale
    experiments.
