Definitely agree. Part of human nature is getting offended. The mods aren't immune to that and I'm not sure why some people seem to think they never abuse their power, maybe because they have never been suspended for something that doesn't break the rules.
That being said, most if not all of the mods are fine and I respect what they are trying to do, but let's not pretend that personal bias is never ever involved.

I guess people are so hesitant to admit that mods could be wrong and biased sometimes is because so many people who have clearly broken the rules are still complaining that they did nothing wrong. Like you know the tale of the boy who cried for wolf? I think that's the case here. So many people have cried for rogue mods and biased mods and what not that when that shit actually happens, people will no longer take ir seriously.

  3. I think that's true. I've seen a lot of people complain about mods and I'm like "dude, your post definitely broke the rules. Stop complaining." But in my case, I can say it was absolutely not the case at all. I literally just posted a thread on the tech section asking if anyone knows how or where I can reach out to someone to deal with a problem I'm having with being mistreated by a moderator, and that moderator deleted my thread, deleted my report of him, and said that I said it was all resolved, when i said no such thing.

So... that was absolutely an abuse of power, and I honestly don't understand why that person is still allowed to have that power. But whatevs.

I believe you. I can't imagine you posting anything against the rules.

  5. Well, I wouldn't say that. Lol I have unintentionally posted things that were against the rules, and been warned for it/had my posts deleted. But I'm not complaining about those things, because even if I may disagree, I can understand why they were deleted.

  6. I will say, most of my warnings have been from someone personally attacking me over and over and over, and me eventually telling them to eff off or something of the sort. Which results in me being told that I can't tell someone to eff off. Which... personally I think is a bit silly, when someone is continuously harassing me. But technically it's against the rules, so I get it.

  7. Exactly, they are also addicts and above all they are not on a paid job so error sometimes happen. But, it always gets resolved. I remember you got your issues resolved after you mentioned it via a thread.

  8. It's hard af being a mod, and you have to be one voluntarily. I resigned for several reasons but partly because it was too hard. And to echo what others said, just don't be a dick. Internet makes it so easy to be mean

  9. Lol not exactly. I decided to stop fighting it, because I realized that was all I was going to get. I never even got so much as an apology from the mod in question.

So no, I wouldn't say it was resolved. I personally don't think someone who does that should even be allowed to be a mod anymore, but I would at least be a bit more satisfied with some sort of apology or admission of guilt on his part.

But I'm not trying to stir crap up again. It just irks me a bit when people act like mods never do anything wrong, when all of that crap happened to me.

Okay, you're right. Everyone makes mistakes of course. But like I guess I meant to say that I see you as a good and smart person so if you say that a mod wronged you, I don't see any reason not to believe you.

  11. Well that's very nice of you to say :)

  12. There is no scientific evidence of porn being unhealthy and the medical mainstream considers masturbation to porn as healthy. Even this site here considers "masturbation in moderation" as healthy.

So you're posting on a forum with people promoting a fringe theory while trying to dismiss non-mainstream opinions about fornication as "conspiracy" at same time. That's pretty funny actually.

  13. That's not true at all

  14. Since when? There have been quite a few studies linking not only behavioural patterns but also including MMRI’s and how the brain is affected. You don’t need to be a scientist to know porn is intrinsically bad all round, have you ever heard of anything good stemming from porn use? I haven’t.

Medical mainstream considers masturbation as healthy. But you can masturbate without porn and at least I was told in school that porn can be dangerous because it isn't realistic. There are also studies about the harms of porn. And even if there wasn't, the medical mainstream agrees that doing anything excessively and compulsively is harmful. Remember that this is first and foremost a site meant for addicts, not for people seeking for spermsuperpowers. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

And what I was dismissing as conspiracy theory was your crazy rambling about satanists ruling west and porn industry controlling nofap. Which is a conspiracy theory by the definition of conspiracy theory. Like the evil others controlling everything from the shadows is the most commonly used conspiracy theory. All that changes is wether the others are evil shadow government or the jews or the freemasons or the commies or the rich people or in your case satanists.

  16. So it's fine to talk about "spermsuperpowers" is fine while carefully avoiding mentioning the elephant in the room (Satan). That's what I meant.

Ah, I see. It's fine to talk about whatever you want as long as it's not against the rules. But when you make such claims, you'd better provide some hard evidence if you don't want to be ridiculed. A secret elite running tha world would be a pretty big thing and seems just overall far fetched, so if you can't back it up with anything, you shouldn't expect others to come even close to beieving it.

  18. It's right in the Bible. You can now stop calling Christianity a "conspiracy theory", because by doing that you make a fool of yourself.

I didn't know that the Bible says that satanism is the state religion of the west and that NoFap is porn industry's damage control. I'm pretty sure that a lot of christians would disagree on that.

Even if it was, so what? Is a claim without evidence supporting it any less ridicilous if more people believ it? If you want to believe something just because your chosen authority said it's true, that's okay with me, but if you want someone else to believe it, be ready to appeal to logic or empirical evidence instead of authority.
