So I thought about the whole pmo thing. How it sometimes catches you out of guard and so on.
Now here is my question. We all know quitting completely is the goal. But what if you relapse lets say once every week or even every 2 weeks? About 10- 15 min watching and then stopping. It maybe sounds silly but your mind still recovers right?

  2. Yes but it recovers as much as a smoker starts to smoke faster and less. Does it really recover or just reduce it ? The real problem is that once you are addicted you will have much difficulty with consuming your former drug im "healthy" dosis. It's too risky.

absolutely. I thought I could handle the one relapse but I couldn´t.
I really search for a way to stop. I had suffered, I use prevention but at some weak moment it always catches me off guard.

it is right what you're saying.. PMo once a week is better than doing it everyday, and maybe even a small step towards completely stopping

I don´t want to sound hopeless but sometimes after a relapse I ask myself what can I even do different. I asked countless people what to do, How they did it. I prevented, I did cold showers, I eat healthy, I quit social media, I tried and tried and never reached 30 days...

personally: everytime when i get the urge (and let me tell you, it's still daily urges) i immediately think about: okay i have the urge. why do i have it? can i do something about it right there and now? if i CANT, than i just weigh out the pros and cons and tell myself life will be SO MUCH BETTER when i keep on with nofap and reach my 90 day goal (exactly on 31 december is 90 day PMO free)

and building up a streak also helps out a ton!

when i was on day 3 or something it was easy to relapse, because 3 days is nothing, thats easily rebuild.. but if i fail now, i have to wait a whole month to get back on this level! and if i continue ill be on day 60 next month!

  8. Take care of it. Learn from it. Otherwise your failure will teach you things with pain. Trust me you don't want it that way.

  10. Do all of it. Understand what helps you most. Do things that are uncomfartable but necessary. Stop toying around like you got a second life to spare. Go your own way. Don't follow others because they go for themselves. Learn from others but don't follow their footsteps ;)

  11. I do that too sometimes. That's a solid A for using everything you can. Don't hesitate to use every trick you got on your sleeve your addiction won't hold back either.

So you just ask yourself what to do and if you find nothing you do a pro/con list. That is all????

I dont wanna be a jerk but man that was more motivation than exact things to do. Whats your plan? Do you use the idea of a reaction sequence? What do you do specificially?

  15. You just see the tip of the iceberg. Some people need to fail often to get honest with themselves and learn from their failure. At his point he does what he needs to. Not just a "Fail safe" strategy but he tries to work against the urge with everything he knows that works for him

  17. I use everything I got. But most importantly is that I dont think "I must repress it! I shouldn't think of that! I must fight it and use some other thoughts" Because that doesn't work for me. Calm down. Your emotions can be useful when they have a direction but letting them just come up will make you emotional and inefficient with your power you got every day. Calming down is most important. Being honest with yourself. "Fighting it" will give it more attention than It should get. Let it blow out like a little flame in the wind. The wind are your thoughts. If they are cold, direct and aiming at the flame it will blow out.

  18. You can fail another 1000 times. You got to learn from it!

After about a weak I get this pressure on my chest. Cravings start to hit and I sometimes even can´t concentrate to study? How can I calm down in those situations?

  20. Get out of your room. Take a shower brush your teeth. Turn off mobile and everything else that can give you access to anything else than your study. Keep your desk clean. Remember the first 15 Days are the most difficult. The urges will get weaker and less but they will come sometimes. Don't expect this to be easy.
