Day 76 no morning woof what is going on?!?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Oct 31, 2019.

  1. I’ve been in a flatline since like day 14 and I am still deep in the flatline on day 76. I’ve had +10 wet dreams on my reboot but have only had a few morning woods. When will my MW’s become more consistent??

Don't worry you are way to deep into the healing process to sike yourself out and "see if your dick works". On my previous longest streak of 69 days I was still in the flat line as well and would constantly worry. It seems as if as soon as we stop longing or seeking for something it will happen.

I really don't understand the mechanism of the morning woof.

50 days ago when I PMOed nearly every single day I had morning woof every morning.

    Now I stopped and nothing?

I would love to hear scientific explanation if anyone has it on why this happens. We often say your mind and you body is healing and that's fine but I'd love to hear some facts if anyone has them

Well, I believe once you PMO, MO, or when a guy as sex with his partner the testosterone does climb a bit and your hormones are going nuts a bit so that would explain the brief morning wood you get. I know I did not get morning wood until six or seven months into hard mode. I did occasionally wake in the middle of the night and realize MW was there and would go away. Now, I believe we all know that off of PMO we cannot sleep very well. GOOD SLEEP is crucial to Morning Wood. Once your sleep stops being erratic and more refreshing, sleeping through the night, you will get morning wood back. I was supplementing with zinc during the beginning of hard mode and when MW came back. I am not sure if that helped or not but I was continuing to get morning wood then.

However, once I started staying up late and have drinks on the weekend it would take two of three days for MW to come back. When your sleep suffers and then add on stress MW goes away. I started supplementing zinc again and doing my best to get to sleep. So, just recently as of the second week of October my MW was pretty erratic and then went almost a week or two without any MW until I starting the zinc again. I am not 100% sure but I think the zinc is KEY to helping us all get better sleep once you get off of PMO. My idea is that we lose this mineral the MOST when we PMO, at least when I had my panel of vitamins checked out ZINC and Vitamin D3 were WAY below the spectrum. Now, I am not saying that ZINC will bring back morning wood only that ZINC will help you get a better night's sleep and regulates the body VERY WELL.

What I did find out researching Morning Wood is that it does happen when you are in REM sleep cycle and you go though that may times during the night. You will have random wood a lot of times and will not know it through the night. HOWEVER, if you have a GOOD NIGHT SLEEP of about 6-7 hours and REM cycle is observed you will get your morning wood back. I never understood how good sleep is essential in this way for a man's sexual health. The jury is still out on the Vitamin D3 as I need to be more consistent with taking it with food to actually get the benefits from it. I think the Vitamin D3 and Zinc are also crucial for maintaining testosterone as well.

So, get better sleep and get Morning Wood back.

Struggling with getting 8 hours of sleep in big time maybe that is the culprit

It is definitely worth a try but try to go to a small clinic of some sort where they can test you for vitamin deficiency of any sort and then the Doctor can help you out reading the results and letting you know what to take if needed. I do not recommend just taking things off the shelf until you know what is going on inside of you. Let me know what happens if you end up trying it. I am curious if this might be getting to the problem.

i found this.. maybe it has something to do with depression.
i can't post links, so here is the text from healthline website:
What does it mean if you stop getting morning wood?

Having an erect penis when you wake is an indicator of healthy blood and nerve supply to the penis. The presence of NPT also likely indicates that you’re physically capable of getting and maintaining an erection while awake.

If you stop experiencing NPT or notice that you’re not waking up with an erect penis anymore, this may be an early sign of an underlying medical problem.

Most likely, this is a sign of physical erectile dysfunction (ED). You may have something happening within your body that’s preventing adequate blood or nerve supply for proper erectile function. You may be more likely to experience ED if you:

    are overweight
    have high blood pressure
    have high cholesterol levels
    have diabetes
    have depression

Certain physical disabilities may also make ED more likely.

Medications may also affect your ability to experience morning wood. Painkillers and some antidepressant medications may prevent NPT.

NPT may become less common as you get older, but if you’re young and are not experiencing a morning erection or if your erections suddenly stop, it may be time to see your doctor.
