Hi, I am hoping someone can assist with advising on what the best web blocker for laptop is now. Previously i have used K9 which worked great, but as you are likely aware is no longer on the market. I have tried different DNS adaptions through OpenDNS and Clean Browsing, which work great but, Im easily able to turn them off...

Is it possible to change the DNS in a way that cant be changed back or password protect it? Or is there another web protector on the market that operates on the level of K9?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try qustudio
But there is always going to be a way to turn it off, always, you just have to not do it.
I use porn blockers as a way to prevent being triggered and prevent porn from being a few clicks away, but not as a be all end all solution.

No worries thanks for that. There is always going to be a way, sure, but striving to set up a porn free environment in my house is a good move for me.

I use clean browsing dns and kasperky anti virus parental controls. But the kasperky anti virus is paid for.

My friend is the administrator on my laptop, and I just use a standard account on it. So this way I can't change the dns settings. My friend also holds the log in details and password for the kasperky anti virus, so I can't change the kasperky parental control settings, and I can't uninstall anything because my friend is the administrator on my laptop.

Yeah if I can easily turn a blocker off then that doesn't work for me either.

Thats a great idea @skaterdrew , setting up administrator account on a different password. Ive setup DNS to filter out P and only have access to a standard account so the DNS cant be changed. Ive bug tested it and cant find a way through.. I think this will work!

@TheLightOne , thats a good idea too, however dont think my housemate would be happy with my filtering through the router.
