I find that listening to classical music (such as a symphony, concerto, what have you) when I'm horny will almost always calm me down. It helps me focus as well. I've not tried this with other genres, though. What do all of you think?

Yes it does work, though admittedly pulling up some music to combat an erection is a thing that seems too strange for me to do. Lol.

Well, my username is my favorite genre. But I listen to a lot of music too.
I'd say that I enjoy all genres, except urban/electronic styles.

Definitely classical, as mentioned in my initial post. :)

  13. Start blasting some hard rock/metal and you just start feeling like such a beast, any pmo thoughts go out the window. I don't do it enough, unfortunately.

I've been more aware of music lately. Music, especially pop/rock/faster beat stuff is to what porn addicts kind of like smoke cigarettes for a recovering alcoholics a bit. In generally, I find myself craving faster music and more caffeine, substituting one dopamine fix for another.

Music probably isn't going to cause you to relapse, and as others have said might help you calm you as a healthier substitute. I'm trying to implement something where I really reduce a lot of that stimulation in general.

with exams just around the corner and experiencing brain fog, I have come to realise I am able to at least focus a little better and study. The music i play at the background while studying helps me a lot. With no music, i easily get frustrated and give up within 10 to 20 minutes of studying.

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like a quality excuse to blast ska, as if I needed an excuse. I think playing music might be an even better option. It occupies your hands and requires concentration on a non-sexual item.

Everytime I start thinking about something I don't like, I listen to static sound and it goes away. I suppose it works the same with music.
