No. If you are relating this to pmo, yes the want to control your mind and yes you have your own choice
Just make sure you take responsibility for your actions. Don't push a relapse aside as something that happened just because it was predetermined, meaning thatyou weren't able to do anything about it.
I wouldn't say it's false, I personally don't know but he makes some good points. Do we have any control over the environment we're in, the mood of other people or our past experiences? Surely we don't have complete free will since we can't decide when we were born, who are parents and where we grow up?
Another way of looking at it, you could say we have a free will to look or not look at porn but we don't have a free will over if we're tempted to look at porn. Religious people will often say it's a sin to give into temptation but not a sin to be tempted. I would say they say that because deep down they know we have no free will over whether we get tempted.
I feel like nobody in this thread is actually answering the question. Lol Yes, it would be a violation of someone's free will to mind control them. That seems kind of obvious to me.
I don't think that's what the question is asking... obviously controlling your own mind is not against free will. That's not what people mean when they say "mind control." He's talking about either controlling someone else's mind, or someone else controlling his mind. Both of which take away the person's free will. If it were possible, that is, which I'm not sure I believe it is possible to actually mind control someone. But I'm speaking hypothetically.
