When people talk to me or ask me questions I often find it difficult responding as I can’t think of the right words to say and I panic. My brains really slow. Does quitting porn help reduce brain fog at all and in your experience how long does this take?

Pmo produced brain fog for me. Stopped pmo, brain fog and headaches eased and went. More time without pmo equals less brain fog.

Quitting does help, but it doesn't always help right away.

Especially at first, your brain may be in withdrawal and that can make other symptoms, like brain fog, worse. I'm around 3 months and I'm just starting to notice my brain is beginning to function better. I don't have any kind of tests to say this empirically, but from self-observation, I can say that things do get better...but it takes time.

That said, brain fog can be caused by other issues. If you can abstain for a significant time and still have undesired symptoms, it may be worth talking with your doctor so you can be sure there aren't underlying issues. Stress, for example, or sleeping issues where you don't fall into a deep sleep (like sleep apnea) can impair the functioning of the brain.

The human being is a complex picture of many interwoven systems. Rebooting is just one small part of your overall health. Make sure to take care of everything, but for sure, reboot. Rebooting is free.

Congrats on 3 months bro. I’m never watching that filth again. I only started November 1st long way to go.

Within a few days it started to clear. And just continued the longer I went without pmo. Also I recommend trying a break from all screens for a day or two, I did and I was amazed how fresh my brain felt after.

    All the best

One other thing I will add is that I experienced brain fog and almost instantaneous headaches when I would fantasise during the day. I was no pmo but would entertain sexual thoughts etc. I'd feel the rush of pleasure at the thoughts and also the brain fog etc would remain. Since I started this streak I've been much stricter, and brain fog has all but gone now. Lots of fresh air helps hugely, reduce screen time as much as possible.
