porn addiction vs live sex

    Hi guys.

    In reality if you were walking down the street and find two people having sex (live), I would imagine that you would find that discouraging and you would NOT look and you would just walk away. At least for me of course it's absolutely discouraging and I would walk away.

    So my point is that,

    If we get the same sex act that we just came across down the street and play it on SmartPhone or PC why would we watch that sex scene? why would not it be discouraging?

    I'm doing this comparison because, It will reveal something important about our addiction. If we were to find that sex scene on the screen discouraging then there would be no porn addiction in the first place!

    In reality we would feel like we were intruding on someones privacy, apologise if necessary and move on.

    If it's been committed to film then we feel that we are free to enjoy it.

    This is why I have such an aversion to porn, in particular the fact that you have no guarantee that what you are watching was committed to film, or distributed with the consent of the participants. In many cases it's obvious but not all.
