    Hi guys,

I've been an addict for about 10 years or a little more. during those years I was NEVER able to stop for more than 35 days (in 2014) and then my epic abstinence for 6 months (June - Nov) this year.

So I'd say I'm experienced enough to talk about this PMO addiction. Today I wanna revel a very important point that I'm sure will help you al lot, which is facing this addiction.

Usually after PMO session most of us just close the window and swear that we would NEVER do a PMO session again. After a day or two or even a few days we find ourselves tempted to have PMO session. The reason is that the old approach of (I swear I will never watch porn) will never work. I just does NOT work. you have to find a new creative way.

The way that I think will help you stop is facing this addiction, don't just run away because no matter how long you stop, you will ALWAYS go back to PMO UNLESS you do something that will guarantee that you will never go back. Which I think is to change the way you imagine porn.

I talked about this a lot in this forum and did experiments on myself forcing myself to have PMO sessions. What I found is that we run back to porn because our unconscious brain find it HOT and Pleasurable.

The fact is that it is NOT. TRUST ME IT IS NOT. While I was forcing myself to do PMO I was disgusted and it could be a way to fight porn addiction (BUT do NOT do that I'm just doing experiment)

I'm still searching and experimenting ways to change the way I think of porn

    TO BE CONTINUED...

  2. I notice a lot of views, but no comments yet. How many guys have done exactly what you have said?
I know I have. I was feeling tempted, so I started looking. And as I was looking, I was saying to myself, "Is this what you want? Does she really look like she is enjoying this? Do you see how fake this is?" And I turned it off.
But then other times I got tempted. I tried doing the same thing. It didn't work.
Therefore, while I do believe looking at porn with a strongly anti-porn attitude can help to a degree, the best advice is to just do one's best to stop.
When I am honest with myself, I admit that I do enjoy porn. In spite of the many reasons why it is the worst thing that ever happened to me, I still think about it. I still desire it. But, like old love letters or mementos from a girlfriend from long ago, it's best to part with it forever.

The best way to stop looking at porn is to stop looking at porn.

You can stop looking at porn as something good without ever looking at it.

Change yourself from within. You don't need to be in contact with porn to do that. Worse is that some people may entangle the negative aspects of this kind of approach into their sexuality.

  4. I had a urge this afternoon to look at Porn but 8 days in, want my recovery more than a temporary thrill. Your healing has to outweigh your addiction, and once you make the right choice it's easier and easier (hopefully) to make that choice

If I stumble along the way, it is what it is. I'll get up and try again

Also, I think everyone works at their own pace. I count the days of no porn, masturbating and orgasm like the next guy but to me, it's just a number. Success is a feeling, and ulitimalety a knowing you have overcome that results in change

Counting days isl like getting those tokens at AA. Cute, but entirely unnecessary

Yes this approach is really difficult and not for everyone because it could backfire.

    Here is an update:

Instead of looking at porn, imagine yourself sitting alone and having a PMO session "like a loser" and of course don't go and have a PMO session just imagine how discussing it's when you're sitting alone and destroying everything in your life. (Again this might not work for everyone)

Yes the way to stop heroin is to do more heroin, but not enjoy it. That way, by not enjoying it, you fool your body into thinking it's not real heroin.
