hey guys i’m sort of worried about my private life i’ve searched up kinks and stuff i’m not proud of like i went to categories like trans and similar stuff to that and i’m free from that because i’m past 90 days and it’s gone but like they have that and could use that against me . what do i do ? is there any way i can get this information deleted ? because i did some wrong messed up things when addicted to porn and what if one day it goes public and ruins me :( what do i do ?

  2. First thing I did was remove Google and all of it's applications. I search with DuckDuckGo use a VPN and will sometimes use Fire Fox or Opera browser

Google is incredibly evil. I have no doubt they listen to you. And watch you without your permission

i could see that but there is no proof yet that they watch you

  5. Just watch some of The Hated One's videos, and follow Techlore's tutorial. That's what I'm doing for some career reasons.

  7. Bro. Let me ask you a question, do you honestly think they aren't watching you? If they're listening to you, which I know they are what makes you think they aren't watching you as well?

Despite, putting tape over the camera, do you think it's reasonable they have some other hidden way to view you other than the very noticeable camera? I think so. Even if the device is turned off

I know they were doing that with TVs. So to me the temptation is just too great. Kinda like when Snowden blew the whistle on the NSA spying on ordinary, law abiding citizens without a warrant. Because they can

Yeah it's kinda a pain when I can't use Google play to download stuff. Or use Google maps but there are ways around that. You can download just about anything you can off of Google play from somewhere else

I'm not risking it though. I don't have anything to hide but I value my privacy, and it isn't for sale. Which is more than likely why they do it, to make money off of you

Can’t do much about your digital history. Focus on keeping your online activity in the present and future respectable. Start using new accounts to break with the past. Unless you are a high value target like a politician or a celebrity your digital history has little value to incentivize anyone to go to the trouble of digging it up. A VPN can help, but it doesn’t guarantee anonymity. There are other ways you can reveal who you are and where you live even with a VPN in use. A forum for recovering porn addicts wouldn’t be my first choice for soliciting advice, but you can at least get a few tips that point you in the right direction.

  9. Let Google aside, even your internet provider knows what you're accessing, unless you're behind a VPN, but then, the VPN provider knows what you're accessing too (they might say that don't log anything, but can we really trust them? After Snowden, my answer is no). After that, another problem are social medias. Pretty much every site has a Twitter or Facebook tracker these days, this forum included. If you're logged on your account, they track what you access to build a customer profile and target ads, but who truly knows what else they do with that kind of information? Thankfully, trackers are easy to block, but there's still something worse: your digital fingerprint.

By getting information that your browser send to servers, one can distinguish users by caracteristics of their browsers. Things like windows size, extensions installed, browser user-agents, whether or not you have javascript enabled, java, etc... There are so many things.

There are ways to escape more or less from all that, but you need to decide if it's worth or not all the sacrifice. We're talking about not using Windows OS, de-"googling" your phone completely by rooting and installing custom firmware, using exclusively the Tor Network to connect to the internet, hosting a personal e-mail server, etc...

Very thorough and informative. I hope everyone takes time to read this post. Fragmenting our digital fingerprint is a lot of work as you have outlined here. There is so much happening behind the scenes that it is quite a lot of effort to reduce our visibility. Going dark is not that easy in the digital realm. And more work than a lot of people are willing to do, or even to learn about.

  12. VPNs can be trusted as long as the company running it isn't compromised themselves. Even if they were not compromised, there needs to be a large amount of users. Certain browsing habits can also be linked to specific people. Suppose you visit a particular website at 0800 everyday. One day, you decide to use a VPN and keep the same habit of visiting the website at 0800. Well now you've compromised yourself. It may not be proven that you were the one who visited the site at 0800, but you have already established a pattern. And that's what it's about: patterns. We are creatures of habit (that's why NoFap is hard). Some anonymity can be achieved, but you have to ask yourself what your purpose is and who are you defending against? You'll have little chance against an intelligence agency of a major power that's specifically targeting you (look up Evil Maid Attacks). If you don't want to be caught in a dragnet, that may be easier to mitigate since you're not a target.
