Can't even buy my GF clothes for xmas

    Hi,

    this post may be annoying for some. I know there are a lot of threads like this.
    These days are hell for me. I am buying some presents for girlfriend and because she likes clothes and got some tips what she likes over the year I want to choose a product from that category.
    The big problem is that wherever I go, be it online, or in actual shop I encounter women. I encounter woman models online, so more than choosing a piece of clothes for my girlfriend I am only enjoying the model herself and sometimes it seems impossible to get my eyes off. Of course immediately I want more and even if I manage to close the browser the image is still in my head together with thoughts and my productivity for the day is doomed.
    Similar situation in actual shop. Say I want to go to female fashion shop and buy a piece. My mind and eyes start wandering on other women in the shop fantasizing about them. I don't know why this particular category - clothes have so strong grip on me when it comes to women.
    Anyways, it is obvious that i am failing here - not able to pass my mission to buy a present for gf. It is really disrespectful to go and search for a present for someone and end up enjoying models or other shoppers.

    Any suggestions how to get past this problem in this cristmasy season?

    Damn I thought you couldn't afford or something from reading the title...
    Coming back to the problem at hand... you've got to empathize my man...be in her shoes...what if she kept oggling at other guys? How'd that make you feel?
    A change in mindset is what is required...the mindset that your gf is the centre of your world and deserves your attention...sure it's alright to glance at a pretty lady passing by...I mean,we are men by the end of the day... appreciating beauty and whatnot... but nothing beyond that...it shouldn't affect your relationship...but what makes us more of a man is the way we appreciate the women in our lives...
    So go get your lady something nice,buddy...the smile in her face would be more genuine and satisfying than the flirtatious smiles of 100 other saleswomen trying to make a sale...

    You are over complicating this, You lack skills in managing your thoughts and directing attention. In other words you have problems with focus.

    Attention management and ability to ignore and exclude thoughts and distractions is a skill, and having that skill allows you to manage your thoughts.

    There are many games and techniques that train attention management and self awareness, you should develop the skill, its very useful in life.
