I heard about him a couple months ago. The story is horrific. One scary thing is the cam gal cares nothing about him or his deceased family members and probably has a long list of other suckers throwing money at her.

For me I wasted at least a couple thousand. I deeply regret it. I’m never going back to cam gals.

 

I spent several hundred, maybe a thousand or more, over many years. Don't even want to consider how much. Those days are long behind me, I am married with child, but I do occasionally find myself thinking about some of my favourites. Tragic!

If you can't stop PMo completely at least stop spending money on it!

 

I seriously doubt an obsession with camgirls will turn just ANY guy into a murderer, but yeah. It's a tragic story.

I think you’re correct about the murder part. There are other factors involved in a person who goes out and harms others in any way.

I’m mainly thinking about the $200,000 part. Spending four, five, or more digits is something that is more likely to happen.

I never thought to myself I’m going to spend thousands on cam gals. But I got obsessed with one woman in particular and rationalized that I wasn’t really spending a lot.

Only after my ridiculously immature episode with my last gal did I come to my senses, counted my losses, and realized what I had done.

Setting financial goals helped a lot in quitting much of my previous behaviors, including the cam visits.

The cam girl prices are insane! I've gone to the sites but I can't see why someone would pay that much. They literally cost more than a hooker would cost, lol.

I guess I've seen similar phenomenon though were as soon as people have money that they busted their ass to make they feel the need to throw it away and waste it on something. If you must spend it then buy something with the money. There are tons of things available in those price ranges.

 

Appreciate your honesty @skaterdrew. It takes power away from the shame and regret by posting about this publicly. It’s just money.

 

Porn provides the comfort you crave when you have a thumping hangover. As a sober alcoholic the only days I multiple pmo'd was when i was hungover. Regaining conciousness after days of drinking id think "christ i feel like shit, what will make me feel better?" PMO. Back to bed. Rinse and repeat. The relief lasted seconds, then id feel 10x worse than before. Horrible, horrible times.
Hangovers and porn are a really bad mix. Be careful.

 

In a dark moment I pored over old bank statements and worked out exactly how much I spend on cam girls.

'several hundred, maybe a thousand or more' - ha! The actual figure is £6,200 (approx $8150 in USD) over six years. I could have a nice little savings account now. This was during a period of my life when I have a couple of hundred to cover everything in my bank account after my bills were paid, and I regularly complained that I didn't have enough for a holiday or decent clothes, etc. What a selfish, deluded, addicted person I was.

Coming up to a year clean from camsites/phonelines/anything paid for. Which is, at least, something!

 

I know it, and can type it with one hand with my eyes closed. Sad thing is, I haven't even included the figures from that site in my figure. I could have had quite a nice little nest egg by now.
