Hey there, I'm a 14yo male. I don't have much time of PMO addiction but I'm already struggling with some consequences.

For the record, my addiction is pretty bad (despite I'm better than I was before).

I am going through HOCD (already posted it in the Problematic sexual behavior topic) and I am a very anxious person. My mother has anxiety disorder, and we both agree I probably inherited it.

My other problem is sexualizing everything and, sometimes, being pervert, with some kinky thoughts.

Of course, maybe I'm not going to get 100% better now, but I searched about NoFap and its benefits, and now I ask: is the reboot gonna make me at least a little bit better?

(If I'm posting it in the wrong place, please warn me, thank you)

Yah ...sure thing . It will give you more time for other good habbits , much more energy , and better morality( if thats an issue). My advice is if you manage to make 90 days , to not stop there , because the hard times will be behind and new habbits are established . Urges are much less

Great thing. I hate this side of mine, pervert, sex-guided, with sexuality paranoia.

Kinda weird, most people realize this after many years of masturbation and porn consuming. I am already struggling with a year, but luckily that will give me a brighter future.

Good boy. Stay away from PMO. You are ahead of so many. I wish I was in you position.

Second day and it's already hard, but as Survivor said, "don't lose the grip on the dreams of the past, you must fight just to keep them alive".

My biggest streak of all times was just a week, but I can be stronger than that.

14 is a tough time with sexual thoughts and such even in a world not saturated with porn. Use your brain rather than letting your dick guide you like an animal. Fantasies and desires will pop up whether you like it or not, but it's your choice whether you let them carry you away.

But you're in a good place young man. Some of us guys here have been addicted to porn for longer than you've been alive. You're very fortunate to be aware of the danger at such a young age.

Do yourself a huge favour and seriously commit to getting the porn out of your life. Your brain is still forming rapidly while your body is still growing and changing. Porn will only warp that growth and you'll end up like a lot of the guys here, WISHING we could be 14 again and not go down that path.

Avoiding porn might not cure a natural disposition to anxiety, but I can't think of any way that it could possibly help. It can only get in the way.

Maybe it's good I have been out through HOCD and all the other stuff, so I realized the dangers of pornography.

Everytime I'm about to fail it I think "no, you are stronger than this, you are not an animal, you must gain control over yourself".

It's hard for an anxious person to wait for the benefits to come, but that doesn't mean it is impossible, and patience is a virtue.
