  2. I have a 12 year old son who I feel I should be educating on this subject now. We found a few months back some links to YouTube vids and the very tame sexy women pics on Google. Nothing extreme or even softcore about it, and I'll be honest I just laughed it off. Does make me wonder though, is it something to tackle now so he's aware of it, or is there an inbuilt level of curiosity that shouldn't be stopped.

If I were you, I would tackle it from a different angle. Maybe start educating him about masculinity and self development. Then drop a few seeds in there but no serious discussions as of now...

porn did that to us. thats all.

without porn we would not had such a massive uptake of people suddenly ''discovering'' they are bi or gay
    theyre not.

they just think they are IN MOST CASES due to porn addiction

The situation is a little more nuanced than that. Western culture is shifting to be much more friendly to sexual orientations outside the norm, which means people are feeling safer to explore queer attractions personally, and to express them in public. It's more visible now, not necessarily more widespread. With that caveat firmly in place, I do tend to agree. It seems to me that there have always been people who are same-sex attracted, so it seems natural. However, I think greater culture is not recognizing how same-sex eroticism on young, developing minds could greatly exacerbate those numbers. Not just with P. How many gay men were molested as boys? Did that early sexual experience create a feeling of confusion and ambivalence with those boys?

I think there's a balance between protecting queer people from homophobia, and protecting kids from life altering sexual assault.

exactly. believe me, I had my own doubts when I was growing up but there was nothing sexually attractive to queers or else.
how that would went if I was bombarded with propaganda since kindergarden and then adulthood? wow that would be much harder to decide ''what I am'' I guess.
also, nowadays a boy cant get a girl he wants or becomes hurt and then voila, solution is not to grow and learn how to become a man. Today the solution is to become gay

Nothing against gays but just saying that this is the most common pathway these days people just want to have it easy.
dont like how you feel, oh okay maybe youre a different gender lets shove hormones into your body and cut something out, or add something in and this will fix you.

    in most cases it doesnt.

  9. The problem is that it breaks the 'born that way' narrative. There might be people 'born that way' but if we see instances of say Greek cities in the ancient world that were purportedly 80% gay/bi and others that were not - or the early Roman republic where homosexuality was uncommon but the late , decaying empire where it was almost 'the norm' it seems to me its a behavior, not an identity. There are even stone age cultures were it is so unknown there is no word for it...

The problem is that rigid enforcement of that narrative prevents many people from getting help! NF is one of the few places you can even have a discussion.

Here are some great Your Brain on Porn Articles about Sexual Tastes which are the result of escalation, acting out, addiction vs orientation.

    https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/ybo...d-the-brain/are-sexual-tastes-immutable-2012/
It’s time to distinguish ‘sexual orientation’ from reversible ‘sexual tastes’
“The bulk of scientific evidence currently favors the view that the origins for most sexual desires are not cultural but innate.” —Leon F. Seltzer
Such statements mislead people that all sexual inclinations are created equal and are immutable. This is simply not true.

Homosexuality and Masturbation do not exist in many stone age cultures -they literally have no word for it:

…Another reason we conducted a study of sexual behavior was that several years ago we asked Aka men about homosexuality and masturbation and were surprised that they were not aware of these practices, did not have terms for them and how difficult it was to explain both sexual practices. They laughed as we tried to explain and describe the sexual activities

yep. Im glad people are aware of this. and we did not even mixed the impact of porn into this... for sure if you watch other men penises in erect state, cumshoting and what not then somehow this becomes ingrained in your brain with something youre aroused too. this happens automatically whether you like it or not. I doubt a man ever should see so many naked men if not for porn.

besides, Its peculiar you mentioned ''decay'' because our society is pretty much in a decay state

and well, I always look at the bigger picture. who benefits from this. who benefits from a weak, childless society. easily controlled and lost. well... for sure a society like that wont rebel against their masters. so much time, propaganda , money, energy and effort of our govts go towards this whole narrative.
like arent there far more important issues to resolve first? like homelessness for example?

    its a bit odd.
