It would be interesting to calculate the cost per orgasm. I probably spent at least $500 per year on porn DVDs and sex toys over 30 years. That would be $15,000 total. Divided by 4000 orgasms would be $3.75 per orgasm. That is more than I expected. I have always tried to be careful and not waste too much money on PMO.

 

I honestly cannot believe people who pay for porn. Never paid for a movie/song/porn in my life but then again the Internet grew as I was growing and there was torrenting available so in your case porn was not available. Imagine if you put that money blindly into the stock market.

 

Yep, and the $15,000 is only the obvious cost of the PMO addiction. There is also the time lost and the psychological harm. I probably devoted 8000 hours or more over my life. I suppose those were leisure hours, but they weren't the same quality of leisure hours that I had riding my bicycle (for example). Then there is the psychological harm too. I've had depression my entire life, and PMO is a big factor even if it might not be the only factor.

 

You did pay for it every time you watched an ad and such. It’s a different kind of transaction but it still is one.
