So doing other healthy rewarding activities? Getting out the house much more often? I feel like I put too much faith in blockers and I'm not doing enough healthy rewarding activities.

Is a relapse the end of the world? Surely if a guy changed his life, was doing a lot of healthy rewarding activities and was out the house regularly, and then this guy relapsed or even binged on PMO, surely this is not the end of the world for this guy? What should this guy do in this situation? Feel depressed and worried which could actually in fact cause more relapse? Or think I am only human and I relapsed and even binged on PMO, not worry about it and then just continue getting out the house and doing healthy rewarding activities?

I feel like a lot of guys, my self included somewhat put their life on hold for this nofap, pornfree stuff. Surely it is a much better idea to go out and enjoy life regardless if you suffer with porn addiction and PIED?

Most men with high speed internet access use porn and artificial sexual stimulation to some extent. But a lot of these guys still live their life. They still go out and enjoy life.

I think I have been somewhat putting my life on hold obsessing and worrying about all this stuff. I think it is time to get out there and enjoy life in a healthy way, and accept that if I relapse or even binge on PMO I will realise I am only human, not worry about it and then continue trying to live a healthy satisfying life, by getting out in the world enjoying healthy rewarding activities.

This getting worried and depressed because I relapsed or binged on PMO is not actually helping me.

  2. Honestly man you have to change your life because otherwise it's just a matter of time before you relapse. At some point you have to switch gears and start focusing on moving forward with healthy habits instead of obsessing about nofap and wondering how long you will be able to abstain.

Not only very important, setting and achieving goals on daily basis instead of focusing only on abstention is crucial to successful long term recovery.

Yeah I think I am focusing far to much on blockers and abstaining much more than moving forward with healthy habits. I will really need to try get more healthy habits.

Yeah I think I have always mainly just been focusing on blockers and abstaining much more than achieving goals and healthy habits ext. I think I am really going to need to start trying to achieve more goals and get more healthy habits.

  6. It's not very important to change your life, it's essential. Build a life where you don't have to rely on porn for stress relief. Implement healthier outlets like exercise and meditation.

Honestly, I think it's not only important; I think there literally is no other way to do it. And I don't say that lightly, because I struggle heavily to change my life too, although I know I have to.

In my experience, addiction is the result of a life-long learning process around dealing with negative emotion and stress. In order to live a healthy and sucessful life, we first have to re-learn how to do it properly. And that only works by changing our life, maybe even our whole personality. It's a very hard and difficult process, but I believe it's worth it. Good luck, bro.
