Hey guys. I relapsed AGAIN yesterday. .. 4 times/:.... every single relapse has been due to my phone (kik, or snapchat.) Whenever I do delete those apps, my boredom is too real so I give in and reinstall the apps saying, "oh, I won't relapse, just talk to some girls.' That never works..Any help on what I should do?

  2. Find something else to do, Bluffy.

What is your passion? What do you really care about? What skill would you love to have? What books would you like to read? Who has inspired you? What do you love doing for fun? What did you love to do before you developed this problem?

    You'll find something.

Get a flip phone if you are serious about quitting.

If that's true, then you're hopeless and should give up, right? No. It's bullshit and you know it. Addictions are hard to break; not impossible to break.

You need to replace your habit with something else. Pick something, or better yet, multiple things, and every time you feel bored do one of those things.

As limeaid said, getting a flip/dumb phone would help as well.

  6. Giggleshmack's right, Bluffy.

You can do it. You don't have to do it all at once. Try something. Do something for a few minutes. And then do it again. Do something active. Just dance around for a few minutes. Try and do one press up if you can't manage 10. I juggle, which is ridiculous for a man of my age, but it's a start in breaking the cycle and finding what I do want to do.

Meditation's very good for improving your concentration. Again, with that, just don't give up. Try it for a few minutes, but keep trying, and the more you try the better you'll get and the better your concentration will get and it'll really help you with your addiction. There's hours and hours worth of reading on the Your Brain on Porn site and it'll help you in this battle. Read one article.

You can do it, friend. Honestly, you can. Others have done it and there is always hope. Try to believe in yourself a bit more. Take small steps if you have to, but try to keep them all positive and keep trying with them. :)

One way that I have tried to literally snap me out of my thoughts that end up with me relapsing is that I wear a rubber band around my wrist. When my thoughts start to wander or I begin to think that just one peek at porn is ok, I snap that rubber band on my wrist. It sounds stupid but I went 30 days until the one day when I forgot to wear it and you all know the rest.
