    Hello All,

    (Warning - Long Post)

Today is day 50 of my PMO journey. This forum and all the members have helped me a lot. I killed so many urges reading the success stories here. Now it's my turn to contribute!

So I decided to change my life on 20th November 2019 and Quit -

    - PMO (Fapping at least once daily, edging for 1 to 2 hrs a day since the last 20 years)
    - Smoking (15 to 20 a day since the last 18 years)
    - Alcohol - (Moderate user, say a bottle per week from the last 15 years)
    - Sugar and Junk food (Called myself a "Foodie", dangerously close to be called obese)

I am happy to report that I have stayed clean so far on all my commitments and will continue to do so. I am regular at the gym, meditating and eating clean :).

Alright, so here are a few things that I have learned so far-

    1. First 15 days are the worst : I cut off all ties with social media, Instagram etc for the first 2 weeks, that really helped me. Your brain will play tricks and try to justify your bad actions, or search for info that will support MO.
    2. Yes, the superpowers are real ! : You will feel better and people will see you as an important person, of course you will get some attention. You will see yourself in a different light, will feel more confident.
    3. P.A.W.S are real too : I have had my share of good and bad days. Some days were really good, I felt like Superman with X-ray vision and on other days I felt like Joker, depressed and ready to kill myself. But it gets better with time. Tackle one day at a time.
    4. You need a new "Clean" dopamine system : This is important, I learned that like the body needs food, your brain needs dopamine candy too. Now it's up to you if you are going to get it by Porn and M OR by working out, cooking, painting, meditation or any other hobby. You will save a lot of time after giving up PMO, use it to develop a new dopamine release system, explore what you like.
    5. Your results will vary : I am not sure which of my bad habit contributed to what, so Can't say it's all because of NoFap, BUT the benefits are there. You might experience some, none or a lot maybe immediately or a tad later, but you will feel the difference that's for sure. Some days will be good and some days will be hard. But that's life!
    6. Understand why are you here: Nofap is like fitness, it's a lifestyle. I do not believe in 30, 60 or 90 days goals. Anything in moderation should be OK (AFTER a Reboot). So understand and accept that this is not a diet or a fad that after 90 days you can fap again to glory. Porn is bad, Orgasm is not, so chose how you want to get O, via a partner (Not a paid hooker) or by fapping.
    8. NoFap is not a magic pill : You need to understand that this is not a magic pill that will cure your ED, PIED or make you irresistible in front of women instantly. Think about the long years and hours your invested in Porn and M, it will take some time to fix that. There are no shortcuts to glory. Be grateful that you are coming out of this bad habit that made you a social zombie.
    7. Challenge yourself : Come out of the comfort zone, do something new, something drastic, challenge your limits. Approach the girl or guy you like, tell your mom and dad that you love them. Be alive, the time is now!

Here is what I have achieved in the last 50 days -
    - Better health
    - Good self image
    - Started meditation
    - Mindfulness
    - Rocking in the Gym
    - Developed a new habit (Cooking)
    - More loving to my family
    - No guilt / self loathing

I am also practicing semen retention (My choice entirely) so not listing the attention that I get from ladies, I chose to ignore that :)

To sum it up, be strong and tackle one day at a time!

    Hope it helps!

Buddy, to be honest, i do get distracted even today. But you need a solid "Why" to tackle this. Every time I feel I am getting distracted, I try and focus on something that is non sexual (can be family, or God). I have also created a physical trigger that helps me stay on track.

    Good work and interesting post!
Don’t agree with you at point 6 though - PMO or MO in moderation doesn’t exist (except probably very rare cases, because too difficult to control yourself) and there is no good in any dosage (if it is what you mean).

Thanks Bro! Keep fighting. I saw your signature, way to go.

Just one thing, you may want to look at outside food as long as it's healthy (There are many health cafes now). I bank upon these on emergencies.

    All the best!
