I just wanted to see what kind of rituals/practices you guys combine in tandem with NoFap. I currently have been doing some of the following:

    a) Waking up and going to sleep at around the same time to rebalance circadian rhythm. This helps in training my nervous system to get a good night's sleep which impacts all aspects of performance.

    b) Meditation every morning for at least 10-20 minutes (usually 20). This helps increase control of how I use my attention/focus instead of letting it get absorbed by anything and everything. Increases feeling of self-mastery and makes me more present to life. Better and deeper thinking too.

    c) Loving and accepting attitude towards myself throughout the day. I've been really trying to be more compassionate with myself. I found that being mean to myself and/or beating myself a lot becomes counter-productive very quickly because it makes me feel like shit which often times increases the desire to engage in escapism such as PMO. I take on this attitude during meditation as well.

I do other things too like nutrition, weight-lifting 3-5x per week, journaling at night, disciplined media use, etc.

What kind of rituals do you guys use during NoFap? A big thing too that helps is just updating my journal here almost every day as well as looking at "success stories" and seeing what's possible.

Sounds like you've got some excellent habits and routines going there my friend. I do most of the same myself although I would say you do things better than I, well done keep it going! All I can add to your own list is cold showers everyday and trying to read at least 50 pages a day of whatever books ive got on the go at the moment. Oh and also having my phone turned off when not in use and rationing the use of phone/youtube no more than 1 hour a day and most of the time spent on youtube is watching positive things.

I may have some better routines but man, "382 days???" that's fucking awesome. I don't know if you forgot to update your counter but if you didn't hats off mate. And I also do a lot of reading as well as usually do cold showers almost every day.

Right now I am on day 6 and I finally started reading books in English (I am from Russia) and it feels so damn good! I have been quitting porn for like 1 year now and my biggest streak was only 18 days, but it doesn't matter. Only recently did I discover all that self improvement stuff and started working on myself. I also take cold showers, wake up at 6 am, try to meditate...
And I want to encourage you guys to start reading in... For example in Spanish, because feelings when you read in your first language are different from those when you read in a foreign language!!!

One habit that I follow every day is to talk to someone I know IRL at least once a day. When school's on break, I can go around almost 5 days without talking to anyone I know in real life and have a good conversation with and I honestly really hate it. If you like being alone this should be no problem but I always reach out to talk to someone at least once a day if I'm not messaged first (which isn't often unless they want something).

Also for meditation, what do you guys like to do? I tried doing it but don't really think I'm doing it right because I don't feel more focused or anything like that. I meditate for around 5 minutes and listen to some Star Wars Meditation music.

  7. I used star wars music too.

I have tryed some music like that, try vynanah music (don't remember his name) on youtube, but if you have milions of toughts in your head would not be easy to do it. Sometime for me work, but not all time, for example stay sitted in that way for now is not possible and i'm painful...

Thank you my friend for the compliment its actually probably more days than that from masturbation however I had another problem that I was starting to count as a relapse to help me get over it. To be honest at 1st its great to count the days and note the improvements however you WILL get to a point where you stop counting days full stop as this is just your lifestyle now. Best of luck to you!

For meditation I do it 1st thing in the morning because otherwise I know there is a high chance I wont I have a timer that beeps when it begins and ends so I set that for 10 minutes sit with my eyes closed and try and clear my head. Physically shake thoughts out of your head when they enter and focus on your breathing in and out. If you want help with something going on in your life say you need to think of an idea or something before you begin meditation have that thought in your head and often after clearing your mind the answer will come to you. I'm certainly far from a master of it but I have found great benefits to it. The star wars music is a great idea I usually do it in silence and I can hear every noise from the outside its quite nice.

Yeah, you should check out Dandapani's course on meditation. It's worth the money.

I agree. I also think you should reset your counter and make it more accurate. But yeah, my goal is to hit 90 days and then after that not be so focused on this. I mean I want to maintain a better habit when it comes to PMO but I'm not going to be as rigid per say. Maybe I will simply only allow myself to O with women and then when it comes to PMO, I'll just completely stop P and allow myself 1 MO per month or something, not sure yet, will think about that when I get there.

This morning I did a 40 minute meditation. Dandapani says that "you are not your mind. You are awareness that travels to different parts of the mind." So I remembered this and during the meditation I used my willpower to keep my awareness centered and focused on two things: a) my posture and b) my breathing. Anytime that my awareness was pulled away due to some thought or emotion, I gently and lovingly bought it back to center. Around 20-30 minutes in, I felt very very centered. I felt like for a brief moment I conquered my mind. However, I am not naive enough to think that I have actually conquered it. I know this is life long practice and I accept that. The cool thing is that you don't need to do this for very long to see amazing results!
