Let me start with masterbation alone:

Your reproductive system is designed to be used and in our modern world, it is harder to use it for many. Actually...its not even just our modern world. People have been beating their meat since there were people....and mammal species often masterbate. Hell I had a friend see and laugh about watching a wild horse pull off a "no hander". Chimps do it....dolphins and whales do it....mammals in general do it when their reproductive system hasn't been used for a while.

The difference for us is that we're PMO addicts. We've turned the natural into something unhealthy through increased frequency and aided by a powerfully addictive "substance" Masterbation is no longer healthy for us, and we have to quit in order to allow body and mind to heal. We spoiled what should have been something occasionally enjoyed through immoderation. Wine in moderate quantities can be very healthy....wine in smaller quantities to an alcoholic...not so much.

  4. As usual you say I had to do it more than tree weeks, while I never said I did it for 3 weeks, my test was much longer, you just did not read what was written. You decided to take one sentence out of context and ignore the rest.

Healthy humans have very healthy sex drive, you can eliminate desire for sex about as much as you can eliminate desire to breathe. Yes it is possible to hold your breath for a long time, but you eventually have to endure agony.

If people were more productive and more focused as a result of your proposed behavior, I would see benefits and objectively I did not. I wanted to, I honestly did, but I had to face the reality that issues I was dealing with had nothing to do with masturbation.
It is almost impossible to attribute how we feel today to specific action we took. Because our mood and ability to focus, be productive and perform can be destroyed by single insulting comment on social media, or bad batch of coffee or poor sleep.
That beer you drank three days a go or junk food you eat are fare more likely to cause poor physical and cognitive performance.
What concerns me on this forum, is how complacent and blind people are to these realities.
Sleep, food and exercise will always carry 70-80% of the impact in your life, if you are getting these wrong and vast majority of people get them wrong, then how can you expect to be productive and motivated?
How can you expect to be emotionally healthy?
How can you expect to perform at your best?

And it seems that people are happy to do anything to avoid having to live a healthy life.
They are happy to not watch porn, masturbate, or endure other sacrifices just so they do not have to eat salads, cook good food, take 3 mile walks and go to bed early and get 8-9 hours of sleep.
No it is better to hope NoFap will improve performance because it is so much easier to believe in that.

  5. most ppl are lol

  6. what you don't seem to understand is that enduring and persevering through suffering makes you stronger

  7. complete contradiction you just said... You said that we can't attribute how we feel to a specific action. Then right after, you say that eating junk food (a specific action) causes poor physical and cognitive performance (negatively affecting the way we feel)

  8. idk what you are saying. Are you saying ppl do nofap just so that they can AVOID eating healthy and exercising and getting good sleep?

If so, its actually the opposite result for most ppl. Once they start nofap, they also get their other healthy habits as well, thus showing nofap is the base, the foundation, from which other healthy habits form. Now, you can still be healthy (diet, exercise, sleep) without nofap. However, conversely, many are struggling with (diet, exercise, sleep) because of PMO

Because some people refuse to believe it. They want to continue to fap. And the addictive part is the dopamine released when you masturbate and orgasm. Some people refuse to blame their own actions so instead they blame the p*rn industry for making p*rn. It's just losers who refuse to believe masturbating is the problem. If you removed your entire genitals and the prostate, and made you watch p*rn. You wouldn't get that dopamine rush as you no longer have a p*nis to stroke or edge or to put something into and stroke. It is masturbating and orgasm that is the problem. P*rn is a tool people use to get aroused.

  10. You have a good point of view!

  11. Opposite would happen if you remove genitals.
Pleasure is in the mind not the penis and such individual would become hyper-sexual, most likely obsessed about sex and develop major psychological issues. There are documented cases where men lost genitalia.
Any type of abstinence leads to hyper sensitivity to that type of stimulation. Body balances its systems based on activity, if activity stops, sensitivity in those areas increases to keep activity in absence of stimulus preserve neural networks intact.
If you abstain long enough then even sensitivity can not keep that part of the brain and you loose connections that define your sexual repose.
Brain learns by doing, if you are not doing - you forget. We see how people experience personality changes in solitary confinement, absence of social interactions leads to degradation of their ability to be social and changes their personality.
People that loose vision, sometimes get it back many years later, they have to learn to see because the brain forgot.

Body needs to experience stimulus to know what its range of operation is and it will then tune its systems to that range, whole idea of avoiding something is just as bad as overdoing it.

We often think of ourselves as complete individuals, but we constantly shape every aspect of our mind and body. If we stop doing something - we loose it.

I am inclined to think M is more harmful then P.
It i also a bigger challenge to abstain from.

  13. Watching P without M is a form of edging and is definitely a bad idea. Just like watching P with M lol.

M on its own can certainly be bad too. Maybe it's okay if done once a month or something. The simplest thing is to try not to do it at all.
