Why i am questioning my sexuality?????(please help me)

Hey man, you seem to be fairly deep into your streak so kudos to that. The only thing I can think of is HOCD? I've never heard of a case like your's before and someone is probably gonna come up with a more logical explanation but that's my two cents on the situation.

 

Probably HOCD. I can completely relate.

 

So I’m not an expert, but a few years ago a friend of mine was telling me about a psychological phenomenon that your situation reminds me off. It was around a large number of people that would come out of the closet only to decide that they were actually straight all along. Apparently this is down to the pressure to have a sexuality and that worrying about it makes people dwell on this factor of their lives. They then convince themselves they’re gay (probably due to the fact they fixate on it for so long) and come out. Once they’re out the pressure is off and that’s when they discover they were straight all along.

For the record I have no insight into the veracity of these ideas, or any awareness of any studies that would back up such a hypothesis.

I’m not saying this is what is happening for you, but it may be a factor given that you seem to be worried about it. I’m also not saying that homosexuality is just something that is brought about by social pressures. I’m only suggesting that there may be cases when focusing on (and worrying about) your sexuality may be a contributing factor to a level of confusion.

The simpler answer is the you could be bisexual. But either way I believe (I’m sure there are others that may disagree) that you should accept yourself for whoever you are.

I’m also reminded about the fact that in the 70’s David Bowie was considered bisexual. It was very much the done thing in the 70’s glam scene apparently. He later settled on being heterosexual and even described himself during that time as a closet heterosexual.

As to your penis getting hard when you see one, that might just be conditioning. You see one and associate it with the porn you've watched and your body/brain is trying to get you to indulge again.

It's called HOCD: homosexual obessive compulsive disorder.

It means you're not gay, but you're obsessing about whether you're gay. You're stuck in a loop.

I know I'm sort of the same, maybe not as bad as you. But I'm also an chronic overthinker with chronic stress and anxiety.

You're not going to want to hear that but I think with OCD the best option is to get help from a professional therapist.

 

Hi. It happened to me as well. A bit worse than you, I no longer wanted to be with women but instead wanted to be with transwomen, suck dick and get a huge dick in my ass....Anyway, turns out, like many others on this forum, my mind just got badly messed up by porn. Once I quit it, a few weeks ago, I started to have diminished thoughts about that. Also, ever since I also stopped M about a week ago I started wanting to be with women. I was straight all along.
In all fairness, to tell what your sexuality is all you need to do is be honest with who you are attracted to. In my case it was always women. The problem is I still think about getting some dick...
P.S. I'd have no problem if I was bisexual. The issue here is that I want to be honest with who I really am. If I'm only attracted to women then I must do noPMO in order to only want women.

 

Hi buddy,you say you like girls and you would like to date one.
Flatline is scary thing(for me) when i was in flatline i was having suicide thoughts.But after my flatline ended suicide thoughts stopped and overall i feel much better.
Might is overthinking make your situation much worse and doubting in yourself.
I don't have HOCD but i have weird fetish since i stopped overthinking and care what can happen my life become much better.
I really don't know buddy,but stop overthinking and complete stop thinking about this and you should be better that is one way for you to find out,good luck.

 

@helloo1221 I think you are overthinking it. The same thing happened to me when I was your age. Don't overthink it so much and don't obsess over the fact that if someone calls you gay that it's going to make you gay. It doesn't work like that. If you are ever getting paranoid and anxious about whether you are gay, just remember that they are just thoughts and having thoughts about being gay doesn't make you gay. Being curious and acting on it is different from just having thoughts about it. As long as you don't identify with those thoughts, you have nothing to worry about.

Don't let somebody else's words or thoughts or actions or behaviour confuse you. Whenever a doubt arises, maybe come up with a set of affirmations that reassure you of your sexuality.
