    Hey everyone,

I'm a guy in my mid 20s. I've been watching porn since I was 13. It's always been just a few times/week, so not a serious time drain thankfully. That said, here are my reasons for trying to quit:
    • Like many compulsive users, the genres have escalated such that I'm not comfortable with what I'm watching (nothing illegal or anything, just doesn't sit well with my values/reflective self).
    • I duel with depression and anxiety, and compulsive porn use makes these worse.
    • I no longer want to support "big porn". I don't pay for porn, but I understand that when I spend time on porn sites, porn companies make money through ad rev.
I initially resolved to quit in early December after reading Your Brain on Porn by Gary Wilson. I had a month-long streak, but have used three times in the past ~two weeks. I'm ok with masturbating with no porn of any kind a couple times/week as long as I'm thinking about genuinely healthy, wholesome stuff. I've realised that this isn't something I can do alone and want to join this community for support.

    Cheers everyone
