2 Years Without PM

Today I celebrate 2 years without porn and masturbation, it wasn't an easy journey but I made it with support of my amazing wife. When I started this recovery I didn't know what will happen and how far will I get, in the past, I broke pretty fast so this time I took another approach. So, I took one at the time, just as the name of my journal says. When I named my journal One Day at a Time I had no idea what it stands for, but I guess somewhere in the back of my head something was telling me to name it that way. So, that's what I did I took one day at a time and I learned that recovery is not just stopping but also self-care and growth mindset. Most importantly I want to say thanks to my amazing wife who stuck around by me and supported me all this time even though she didn't have to. Even though she doesn't think so I know that I wouldn't be here without her help.

My story and my journal seemed to inspire some people and some said that it helped to stay clean so I created Discord channel where I try to help others, share my story and my experience, share what helped me and hopefully it will help others or at least inspire.

Well, I can't say that I had withdrawals but had urges and temptations and I talked to my wife and she was my number one AP, I know people say wife can't be but for us, it worked. Also, I kept busy, with the journal and writing back and forth with my APs on NoFap, exercise, reading, listening to podcasts and watching motivational and informative YouTube videos. I learned that if I keep my body and mind busy busy urges pass if my mind is occupied with things I need to do for recovery and growth there is no place for thoughts about PM.

She is an incredible woman, and yes it was hard, but also the best thing I ever have done. All she wants is honesty and I know that I will never lie to her again.

 

I appreciated it, but I am not sure what you talking about it. What do you mean before and after status of my sex timing, and appearance of my penis??? I still had sex with my wife throughout my all recovery if that's what you asking, and my penis didn't change.

 

Well, my wife was always there to support me. But, there were times when I was at work, I work nights, and I had temptations to ogle other women but I just kept myself busy. I was writing to my APs, and read. When my mind was busy I didn't think about it, I just tried to plan what I had to do later and so on, and I always knew that if I am having hard times I would tell my wife and she would help me out, I mean when I get home. So, I never really been alone.
