Hi everybody, I'm a single male, 27 years old.

I've been watching porn since me teenage years and only have had sex by paying for it. Before I used to really enjoy it I guess and see no harm in it, because 'everybody' does it. However lately i've been trying to put my life back together and get more serious, because time goes by very fast and I realise more and more how much i'm wasting my time with stuff like porn.

I have recent years tried harder to quit and would see major positive changes, even though i'm doing better than before, I still find myself falling back to the same ditch and sometimes even put my health at risk.

Since I don't want to make this too long, I hope i'll find my way around this forum and post on the right topics. I'm grateful for the people who started this and wish the best for them. And thank you in advance for those who are helping around , I hope we can support each other.

It is a big step if you can understand what is triggering your urges, because this will allow you to be awake and kill those urges as soon as they appear.

I recommend you to create your own "Emergency Toolbox" with readings that can be handy to read when you start feeling urges to screw up.
I can share this post with you with my own Emergency Toolbox, it helped me a lot during the first few months, i had them in my cell and read them every time I started falling down:

I wrote some tips in this post that perhaps will help you too:

You can watch some interesting videos which are also very helpful in this post:

I also suggest you to read "Breaking the Cycle" by George Collins, it is a must-read if you are serious about getting rid of this addiction.

To get more focus and feel happier with life I recommend you to start doing meditation.. I have been using an App called Headspace for the last two months which is great if you have never meditated before. The first 10 sessions are free if you want to give a try. I used to feel a bit depressed or feeling without energy to start new projects in my life, and meditation has helped me a lot with this.

Last but not least, I would strongly recommend you to take new e-course that Mark Queppet launched in his new website, called: " REFORGED MAN: Quit porn and Master Yourself-Be a Man you Admire", it is the updated version of the e-course he used to have in NoFap Academy. It is not cheap ($200) but it is totally worth it because he gives great toold to fight PMO.You can find it here:
    https://courses.universalman.com/courses/reforged-man
You can also join his website called Patreon, where he posts great stuff for free every week, and also you can join the pay area to be part of his weekly video calls where you can chat with them in real life, get coaching and listen to other guys's stories and problems too. You can find it here:

I hope that all this helps you to fight this shitty addiction.
    Let's keep on fighting

  7. I think it's wise of you at your age to recognise this as a problem. all too often people stay in denial until they reach a breaking point and by then it's often at a crisis stage. Take it from me buddy, porn and prostitutes will never leave you feeling fulfilled, they might be fun for a while but it's not a sustainable thing and the longer you continue down this path the more the cracks will start to show.

I think it would be a good idea to start thinking about how you are going to achieve real intimacy in your life, start dating or mixing with females at social events etc. That's one of the things i'm trying to work on now i've been free from porn and drugs for over 4 years i still need to find some companionship.

    Hey man,

Welcome! I just started up a few days ago as well.

Like you I have payed for sex before, and as gratifying as it may feel in the moment, it always leaves me incomplete in the long run. I don't have anything against it to be honest, but I prefer meeting someone that I have a connection with and having sexual fun that way. Of course its easier said than done depending on where you're at in life.

Do you have a goal for how long you'd like to do no PMO?

Hey guys thanks so much, not sure if I was gonna come back to this forum since I relapsed... pretty bad. And I payed for sex again. The moment was too overwhelming. Right after I went ahead and told my mother(not in full detail but that i'm addicted to the internet as far as she's concerned and it's a big addiction since i showed how much it cost me), because I'm willing to take extreme measures.

I'm still not giving up, most importantly I need to find a new job, one that doesn't require my smarthphone so that I can get rid of it for a while. I need major willpower and dedication to start with a plan to quit for some days. Maybe 90 days is too much but I definitly want to go for a month or something serious, but no false promises for now, I relapsed yesterday and I was busy atm and somehow managed to come back to this site and quit in the middle of it.

I'll see for now, this forum definitly helps and thanks again guys. I agree about being more social, all tips are welcome. Hope you guys are doing fine as well!
