Hey guys, I always find myself surfing nofap while using the incognito mode.
This moment was the actually first time i asked myself Why am i even using that mode.
To be honest, I'm sure A lot of guys here are doing this as well maybe without consciousness.. or maybe because we will feel shame and embarrassment if someone finds out?
For those who use incognito, and for those who don't why are you choosing to behave the way you do?

  2. I reached a point where I even forgot incognito mode exists. I guess it's a good sign!

It makes sense to use incognito for nofap. You don't necessarily want people to know you're a PMO addict.

The only people who are on my laptop are my closest friends and I don't mind them knowing about my addiction, as long as they don't know my username! I'm also too lazy to log in every time I log on, so no I don't browse on Incognito.

Yes, same reason I use a pseudonym here. In fact, I am using the same pseudonym I used for years on P sites, cam sites etc., which seemed fitting somehow.

Im primarily on here on my phone or iPad and I’m the only one who uses those, so no reason to hide anything.

I use incognito for everything, not just nofap. I get really paranoid about people knowing about me and I don't want anyone to find out what I like, and sometimes it leads me to lie about the stuff I do in my free time even to my closest friends. A bad habit that I've had all my life of hiding myself from others.

You bring up a good point though. Same here, using incognito mode. I also want to be sure just in case your mom finds out you browse fetish videos on the P-tube. I mean, every device, browser etc. stores data and exchanges it with other companies as well. So when you type something in your browser you automatically see these suggestions, and your mom could see just that.

So yes, for me it's shame. Moreover, I'm outright embaressed that I have some erection problems going on as well.

The funny thing is, the more people know about it, the better you'll be able to get help and support. Better yet - what's more liberating than not having any secrets, and not have to deal with the constant fear of someone finding out those secrets? No more embaressment when that occurs.

But, from an evolutionary perspective, we hold back. It's all about survival. Of course, in todays society these survival rules don't really apply much anymore, but our brains have not caught up with the state of society.

Everything inside us serves a purpose. That, or I am being controlled by aliens like a character in The Sims and they're just messing with me, like, making me think I have free will.

But god I would just LOVE to be able to get rid of the constant fear of embaressment. Sh*t isn't easy when you're kind of a sensitive, and to a degree self-confidence lacking person.

I do pretty much everything in incognito. In this world where your every move online can be monitored, I choose to take any small bits of privacy I can get.

  11. its not paranoia
actually many companies collect your personal data , for further use ,or branding and marketing issues ,
    you are doing right,
if you want be double safe during browsing , try an anonymizer like : TOR Browser, its free, and 100% safe :)

But incognito doesnt do much concerning privacy beside removing cookies afterward.

I don't use it for nofap. Because nobody uses my computer anyway.

TOR isn't 100% safe, nodes can be corrupted and it's really slow.
A trusted VPN (never use a free VPN) is probably the best between privacy and convenience. Or a private VPS.
If you are concerned about security, disable javascript by default (using NoScript extension for instance) and avoid plugins (flash especially).

I am aware of that. Better than nothing.

  15. I used to open Incognito pages to view P. Now I open Incognito to view NOFAP. After 18 months, developing this habit has changed the associations that Incognito used to have for me.

No one else uses my phone or laptop, but I always had the fear that they would. Now, it doesn't bother me.

  16. I use incognito to avoid having to talk to people about why I don't believe porn is positive. Whenever I try to tell someone irl why I abstain, or if a friend is using my computer and they saw nofap in the bookmarks they belittle me. So to avoid that I stopped telling people I use this site.

  17. speed of tor depends on your country internet isp , or network provider
many vpns can be monitored by your internet isp , or network provider or even tracking you
since tor working with a matrix that isp cannot find where your `data` or `cookies` are from or where are they going'
because of tor encrypted system, so its safe...

they can see you are using a vpn, but as far as I know even dpi can’t break vpn encryptions.

I said that vpn is the best between convenience and security. You are protected against man in the middle attacks and its harder for website to track you from ip and hide your activity to your isp. It’s easy to set up and to use with great performance.

The safest way would be using a double vpn (paid with bitcoin) over tor while using a public WiFi hotspot. But that’s overkill.

Bro I was thinking of using incognito recently like because if something happened to me what would you want the person seeing who had to check your internet history?

Maybe nobody would depending on what happened.

Also having porn in your history or what are those things called, DNS records or something, would be more of a stain than this and this isn't bad and it doesn't say anything about you as a person really.

I mean wtf dude why does the porn industry exist in the public eye that is a real issue in these eyes

Overkill is probably good for ordering illegal drugs over dark waters.

I use a VPN on here but I am not sure why lol. Perhaps I don't want my ISP knowing my username here if they even can tell I highly doubt that. What if the NSA is trying to tune in bahhahah just saying that makes it sound more ludicrous than the idea itself.

Edit: I have no idea what I am talking about with DNS records.

Your browser history is NOT where your browsing trail ends I am saying.

For clarification they can’t get your username because TLS is used. It’s the same for all https websites, that’s why encryption is really important on internet. They can just get the hostname, the ip of the website and see that there is traffic.
