The thing about NoFap is... It's kinda your own thing. You get to decide. If you take it literally, "NoFap" is just about not masturbating and technically it doesn't say don't watch porn so only fapping would be a relapse.
(Doesn't mean you should keep watching porn)

Answer these questions when you're not horny/tempted and when you're calm to know what is a relapse for you:

•How bad do you think PMO is bad for you?
-Based on that, Do you think watching P by itself should be a relapse?
-Based on that, Do you think M on it's own should be a relapse?

•Do you think written fanfics/smut should count as P?
•Do you think lewd asmr should count as P?

•Are you trying to to do full semen retention?
-if yes, do you think wet dreams should count as a relapse?

You can also try distinguish between a relapse and a reset.

Personally, a Relapse for me is when I fail a challenge or a goal I set out, whereas a reset is if I set a goal, achieve it and I think I should reward myself via some sort of P to help an even longer streak.

Although I always knew that wasn't the best way to go about things, now as I'm typing it out, that sounds even more messed up to me.

It depends on what you want to define it as. Once you define it, don’t change it bend the rules. Otherwise why have the rules. For me personally, it’s not to cum to release of semen. I’ve edged a bit which sometimes takes the edge off but also makes my testicles hurt. But no semen release. I’ve had sex with my wife but stopped short of cum release. Just enough to make sure she is well attended to

Uh, if you're on NoFap, watching porn is a relapse. it counts!

  5. Hi DM,
frankly "if I set a goal, achieve it and think I should reward myself via some sort of P to help an even longer streak." Is an insane approach to adopt. But, such insanity is the reason that we are members of NoFap.
I too have been guilty of such self-destructive behavior. For instance I would go on 3 day binges of PMO. This would naturally leave me exhausted. I would then vow never to fap again. Only to relapse when my sexual energy returned.

There must be some objective standard applied to everyone! I have my own ideas as to this 'objective standard.' I will expand on this later. I will do so on this thread. During which I will address the first post on this thread directly.

    Take care everyone!

Just saying, this is a porn recovery forum, you should be rewarding yourself with sex, not porn, that's the point!

For semen retention, the only rule is to not let semen come out of your body, while wake or in sleep, not by physically stopping it ofcourse.
Prevention of the wet dreams/ nocturnal emission is the most challenging one as we don't have much control over them.

The way that I do it, I don't count wet dreams as a typical ejaculation, dreamless emitions, of course. Sex dreams do cause that, though. Don't count a wet dream as letting out semen because you can't control it!
