Masturbation causes the release of a veritable feast of feel-good chemicals in your body - endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin and cortisol – (delete and) having an orgasm is the best non-drug natural high you can get. It helps relieve tension and stress and boosts your mood. It also helps you to sleep better.

There is some evidence that regular masturbation improves immune function and even helps your sperm swim faster (useful for fertility), and that people who masturbate regularly are less likely to develop prostate cancer. Also many sex therapists recommend masturbating a couple of hours prior to sex to help reduce the rate of premature ejaculation.

96% of men in the UK masturbate. Woody Allen said "don't knock masturbation, it's sex with someone I love."

The remaining 4 percent are liars.

Yes, dopamine is released from the body when we masturbate. Why do you think everyone reports of feeling slightly depressed and down after masturbating? Is that meant to be good for you? No, that release of dopamine isn't meant to be experienced 'alone', but with your partner.

I use to masturbate all the time (without porn), thinking I was doing my health and prostate a favour. The reality is that I NEVER felt good. I was just addicted to the temporary pleasure. Now that I've stopped, for the first time I'm feeling more energetic, happier, and motivated.

Sperm is constantly been reproduced and recycled in our body, no need to masturbate.

That's fine. The issue the majority of people have in this forum is that they've overdone it. Due to the constant indulging in P material, we've release too much of the "pleasure" chemicals, desensitizing ourselves to the point that we no longer feel "pleasure" from normal relationships, and/or need extreme material to feel that "pleasure. Thus, we realize that we need to change our habbits, and that PMO is doing us a significant amount of harm.

Bruv, the general population believes that living a mundane life is fine. I am not in the least surprised that educated people would be telling us to masturbate.

These half measures at life are blatantly robbing us from experiencing our existence to our best ability.

I'd simply say here that alcohol has health benefits too - but we still have alcoholics.
Same here - folks here have a problem with P - we're not necessarily saying P in itself is bad (although some would).
Why you'd want to post this in such a place is beyond me - it's like going to an AA meeting and reminding folks red wine is good for them!
but, who am I to judge fapbuster - perhaps you could shed some more light on your post - and why you did it?

I think this forum needs to delete posts or even ban people who try to encourage others to relapse. Some users obviously just register to troll. It's not helpful if you try hard to abstain, read all threads, and every now and then someone comes up saying "why would you do that", "it's good for your health", "blah blah". The worst ones are those who try to scientifically prove it. I'm convinced that such posts and discussions aren't helpful at all. We don't need missionaries here. You destroy the purpose of this website.

I think they're a good addition. The greater the challenge , the stronger you get. If you're weak enough to give in to a simple post , you were gonna fail anyway. So the next time around you'll know better.

If you're strong enough to not give in , good for you. Another milestone.

Yeah. Let's make the addiction harder to get rid of. That's great, just like waving a pack of cigarettes in front of someone who's trying to quit smoking and telling them how great it is. Why add to the already considerable difficulty?

I'm really proud of myself for abstaining from porn since September, but it can be really difficult when I see soft porn on regular television at my friends'/family's houses. They don't know about my addiction, and even if they did, I wouldn't tell them what they can or can't have on while I'm around. Catching glimpses of it can put pictures in my head that linger for hours. I don't feel like a very strong person against my addiction; it is a struggle everyday. There is no need to create an additional struggle for anybody on here. There is plenty of media to help us gain "milestones."

If you feel a need to tempt others, please create your own web forum for like-minded people to visit and join. Your way of thinking is counter to ours, and really serves no valid purpose here.
