Today is the first day of NoFap for me. I have attempted it before but I never managed to succeed. My longest streak was 23 days but that was because I had no access to the internet or anything, due to being on holiday. I'm hoping with the support of the community here I might be able to kick this habit once and for all. I'm keeping my goals in sight and I know why I'm doing this. The change starts now.

Great stuff, I'm sure you will be able to overcome as long as you apply yourself and stick to it.

That's great news and I wish you the very best of luck. Find my thread 'where's the love?' in this section if you are struggling or need guidance.

    Some quick tips:

Detach yourself from whatever device causes you to relapse the most, usually it's a smart phone.

Exercise frequently and try and stick to a good diet. This will help both with mental clarity and improve your mood when going through withdrawals.

Keep going even if you mess up. One relapse doesn't put you back to square one as long as you get back on the horse and don't go on a binge.

So, today is the second day of NoFap. I haven't felt any benefits yet, which is to be expected, they won't just pop up over night. That being said, I am feeling good about the fact that I started this journey, I'm more at peace with my self and, for the first time in the year since I started this I actually feel like I can do it. I actually feel like I will succeed. It's a great feeling. Having that motivation and that drive means a lot to me. I finally feel like I'm on track to achieve everything I set out to when I found out about this for the first time: a new and better me, with a new and better life.

Don't use the streak mentality don't count the days just change your life and make sure you can't watch porn and you have plenty to do

Takes a lot longer than 2 days buddy.

Although depending on how bad your addiction was you will start to see improvement over the next few days.

Things like more energy, speaking more fluently (no stuttering or lack of eye contact), you should start to feel more happy, at day 7/10 your testosterone will spike and on that day you will feel like you can conquer the world. It drops off after that and that's where you need to stay strong. You basically get a taste of what you can be and as you progress on your journey you will start to notice some of the things from that great day returning only this time permanently.

Nofap isn't going to make you into a superhero but it will give you the energy, the focus and the drive to get shit done. Happiness comes with achieving the goals you set out for yourself.

Personally I think it gives added motivation, especially in the first few weeks. You can look back on your progress and be proud of it. Once you hit 30 days it's not very important though.

I'm trying the no streak mentality. I have the counter but I think the no streak approach is better. This is something that I hopefully want to make an integral part of my life so there's no point counting days. For the moment though, I want to try and get through at least a week, that's when I'll stop counting days.

So today is day three. Feeling good so far, I’ve noticed some slight changes to my attitude and outlook. Nothing major yet but there are definitely some changes. I’m pleased with that. I’ll see how I progress but for now the outlook is good.

Day four today. I'm cautiously optimistic. Usually I've never been able to make it past day four. I've already had some seriously strong urges this morning but I've managed to beat them. I'll keep pushing and see if I can make it. I want to get to day five. I'm keeping my motivation to get to day seven. If I can do that then I can stop counting because after that I'll have the momentum. I'm feeling good today though. Had the first peaceful night's sleep in a long time and I feel more at ease with my self. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I can post up here to say I made it.

Setting short term goals for yourself is the right thing to do. I'm building myself back up also.

Day 10 is my first milestone and minimum streak, followed by day 15 then 3 weeks/4 weeks/6 weeks.

Setting a minimum streak will cause less disappointed if you do fail.

    Stay strong.
