It's crazy how some guys jack off to porn and have never experienced any problems?

    For instance I have a brother and friends who occasionally jack off to porn and artificual sexual stimulation, and they have no sexual dysfunctions and they have never really experienced any issues from doing this. When they occasionally jack off to porn and artificual sexual stimulation it doesn't even enter their heads that it is a problem. They have girlfriends and have good sex lives. Then I have other friends who sometimes jack off to porn who also have a lot of one night stands.

    Must be great to be in this situation. To just live your life and none of this crap ever enters your mind and you never seem to experience any negtaive consequences.

    I feel like this is how it is for the majority of men.

    Then you have us on this forum, a lot of us with sexual dysfunctions, and obsessed about staying away from porn and artificual sexual stimulation. Even some guys who are completely obsessed with staying away from masturbation alone.

    You have to look at porn the same way you would McDonald's.

    McDonald's isn't healthy but having it occasionally isn't going to kill you, even having it once or twice a week won't do massive damage if you have the rest of your life(diet) in order but eat it every day and often multiple times a day for years on end you are going to royally screw yourself, it's the same with porn and masturbation.

    Maybe I'm doing nofappers a disservice but I doubt there are many here dealing with issues who only whacked it to porn now and then.

    I was pretty much going to say what the guy above me said. PMO'ing every once in a while will likely do absolutely nothing to you, as long as its part of a healthy balance, same as with unhealthy food or alcohol. Everything in moderation and all that. Problem is, addicts dont have a healthy balance, they binge and consume to excess, to a point where it damages them physically and mentally. They also tend to have other issues that are the root causes of the addiction to start with. People who are addicted to food dont just eat for the sake of it, at least not at first, they might eat because they feel bad or as some form of comfort, and its the same with PMO addicts. In my experience, if I had led a normal late-teenage/early adult life, and had relationships, had sex, and matured as a man, I doubt I would PMO anywhere near as often as I do. I certainly doubt I would have been an addict.

    Every man experience at least little side effects of PMO.I think it depends how much you come intro that fantasies,how much long are you doing that(years,decades),how many times at day are you doing it.
    I have a friends who jack off since his 9 years old to porn everyday.He have good confidence and good self esteem.He doesn't have much fear and he is not afraid to try things that are not in his comfort zone,even if he PMO everyday.Much of us Fapstronauts was having problems with those things when we were fapers.But even if porn and M doesn't have much effects on him,he still have big dark circles,much less energy than me,and lack of control.

    Funny you mention McDonald’s... I just had some today and am totally regretting it. Running to the bathroom at work sucks...

    Definitely agree with what you’re saying. I haven’t been a heavy porn user for a long time but I still am trying to get rid of the occasional binge. So even though it might be every so often I still think it is a negative force in my life. Maybe not as destructive as it could be but still bad for me.

    If you have a healthy brain, then one beer a month will not cause alcohol addiction behaviours. But there are alcohol addicts.
    BUT
    Just like porn, once for a month will not destroy you. But it doesn't mean that porn=good
    I have recovered from my own addiction, and I caught myself watching porn, like 4-3 times since new year.
    But it doesn't affect me that much.
    It depends on a person. Just because somebody is watching porn and feels okay, it doesn't mean you should do the same.
    For me, I am willing no to watch porn at all, despite the fact that is not affecting me that much now.
    Because, it's masturbating to other people having sex. Or better, masturbating to another guy success.
    It puts you in a beta male position.

    Also if it’s really the case and they don’t have any problem, maybe they will see negative consequences much later, in their 30s-50s for example. We harvest what we plant.

    How do you know all this detailed intimate information about all these people? If it’s what they’re telling you, you can’t always rely on that. People have secret issues they’ll never admit to.

    McDonald’s or alcohol are very parallel to this. Many people can handle a few drinks. True alcoholics can NEVER drink again without binging and relapsing.

    so the word “reboot” is a slight misnomer. It isn’t like we can abstain for 90 days and then go back to the same PMO. That isn’t the point. If we are true addicts, we can’t be “fixed” or “healed” to the point of being able to doing everything again the same as before the reboot without severe consequences.

  13. It's the body's essence from youth and inherited from parents all the way throughout their lives.
    Basically I've come (and who am I...well I've been in this community for a while now...) to the conclusion that simply living is sedentary. You absolutely MUST freaking exercise. Like everyday. If you just eat and shyte it's not enough to strenghten the body. Surely you are replenishing *BASIC* needs of the body and thus, your basic level of energy.

    But it's not enough to strengthen immunity properly and essentially let the body EVOLVE from it's standsitll. I have some intestinal issues and I've been able to notice this directly. Not doing any exercise for month to doing some or intense, for weeks and months. Always the difference is there. Just any exercise. Did you know for example, in squatting you are flushin the intestines? That's when your legs shake like an 8.0 earthquake. If you have a martial arts background you know most movements are rooted ultimately in the belly area. The center of the body.

    If you just eat, maybe eat healthy, and sleep and sit down all day maybe stand up for 5-6 hours but seat down the rest anyway. When are you flushing the tissues ANYWHERE in your body?

    So some people also eat poorly or go many days with little food in childhood. Over the years this adds up. Teenage hood comes up and ideally at 16 they should start hitting the gym like an olympic powerlifter. They're body is about to peak damn it. Don't waste it. Retire and play videogames all day at 27 not at 12 damn it!

    So besides this there is also the issues of binging many times. This is rarely spoken about on this forum but actually ejaculating or orgasming in a row, multiple times is crazy bad for your body. - I don't know but the body REALLY needs time to recover which is beyond the simple stamina levels that you feel.
    So some NEVER binge like that in their teenage fapping period. They may be getting that exercise and eating and sleeping well, and if they fap once, they then give their body lots of food, rest and exercise to recover.

    But NORMAL lifestyle = INSUFFICIENT lifestyle.

    Over they weeks and months it adds up man.

    Also things like depression literally modify colonies of gut bacteria in you, killing many healthy ones. So your hormones are directed more poorly after. Things like anger burn off blood, just killing the good stuff in you man.

    It's common sense what I'm saying. Healthy looking parents and a family that you can see from the outside they have good relationship with each other. The kid does well in school. Or at least socially. Because he's not depressed or awkward for no reason. Parents and teachers in school lie to themselves and each other that every child has potential. Umm some are just sedentary and hunchbacked and ugly. Then you see their parents on parents evening and you realize the whole family is sedentary. The home atmosphere is dead.

    The difference is some of us are addictive sorts with P.
    I have smoked 1-2 cigarettes a day for years. some days none. Some other people can not smoke this way but I enjoy them in the morning.

    My brother was like that when we were teens. I was all in on PMO and he barely touched the stuff. Since then he's had an addiction to alcohol, meth, and cocaine. I can drink a few beers on the weekend and never touch it for months. He drinks several everyday after work. Everyone has something. I know people that can't go 20 minutes without chewing gum. I know food addicts. I know people that check facebook every 5 minutes.

    I think there is value in not comparing ourselves to other. Personally I find I do it out of jealousy, like “I wish I could look at porn without issue, how come they can and not me?”

    I’ve come to realize no one has a perfect life or perfect situation and everyone has something they’re working on. I just happen to have a problem with porn and I need to deal with it. The reality for me is I don’t use porn and masturbation as a sexual release; I use it as a coping mechanism. When I struggle to cope with negative emotions I reach for my drug just like other people reach for a substance or a behaviour that we as compulsive porn users may not have a problem with.

    We just need to recognize and accept the fact that we can’t handle porn. Or at least I can’t handle it in any quantity.

    but like any other addiction it can be managed. We don’t have to have it dominate our lives. We can live differently.
