I'm sure there are a slightly larger minority of the kind of people you describe. I doubt there is much shame in that, at least not in my culture, where these things are discussed pretty openly and everyone is free to marry/sleep with whoever they want as long as it's between consentual adults (yet, strangely, I've yet to come across anyone living in harems with an alpha leader, although us women apparently subconsciously desire that red pill fantasy).

However, I was referring to strictly heterosexual people who wanna live in relationships with several others of the same sex, not individuals that for some reason wanna explore a sexual idea for a night or two.

I think men should know women psychology, should be able to do cold approach if necessary, just not to do it in order to sleep around (at the end of the day you damage yourself by this, even not taking into account religious view). So I find that MRA and ‘purple pill’ are good.

 

Agreed, and women should know men psychology. It cuts both ways.

From an ethical view, there's nothing wrong with this if, and only if, the woman also wants to just sleep around. But if the woman is interested in something meaningful or is already in an exclusive relationship, such a man should leave that woman alone.

 

My first impulse on reading that was, "That's an absolute, which cannot be true for everyone!"

But, I believe you. When I have known women who sleep around, they've always been unhappy in a marriage, and are looking for escapism until they find someone to replace their husband.

Thank you for posting. I have looked at the PUA including the likes of Ross Jeffries and David D'Angelo. It has always struck me that these guys teach you how to pick up women, but they don't teach you how to maintain a relationship. If all you ever want is shallow bangs, I suppose that's fine (although your words now make me doubt that), but I believe that the vast majority of men, like women, want something more than an ephemeral fuck. After all, if all you want is shallow bangs, why not use prostitutes? It's cheaper than a wife, I've been told!

So many people think sex is the ultimate prize in a relationship, or in life. And they refuse to acknowledge that they may very well be wrong in this assumption and real world doesn't give too much importance to sexual pleasure alone.

 

I fully and sincerely believe that porn does this to you. After all, what happens in porn? Two or more people meet, and thoroughly enjoy themselves having sex, sexually abusing someone, or being sexually abused. That's life. That's all that counts. It's all about sex and/or abuse. What else could there be?

The addict sees this nonsense day in and day out, and his or her brain becomes wired to believe that this is the Truth. Fetishes develop. Bizarre beliefs develop. Sane beliefs fade. The idea of a relationship becomes twisted away from sharing and loving, and towards sex sex sex. The idea of a fulfilling life through the normal course of striving is replaced with the idea of fulfilment through, and only through, sexual activity.

Why do almost all men look at a beautiful woman and decide that they're in love? They go on one or two dates and are already planning their marriage, their future kids, their life together. (I used to do that as well.)

Why? Because porn is all about superficial looks and sex. Nothing in porn has anything to do with being human. Just a fucking machine, with or without abuse.

Since joining NoFap back in November 2018, I have done a huge amount of work on myself. I can truly say that I no longer feel that compulsion to have a woman in my life primarily for sex. I no longer feel that I need a woman to feel complete.

Instead, I am working on being the best that I can for me. What you say about importance is dead right. I'm at my calmest and, possibly, happiest, that I have been in my entire life.

When I find a suitable woman (as I shall do), it will be to share my wholeness with her wholeness, as independent individuals. That will be the cake. Sex will be the icing.

All that old fear that I used to feel around women… Gone.
All that old compulsion to find a woman or feel like a failure… Gone.

I wish that I could bottle this feeling, and hand it out to other addicts.
