It is funny how life goes and how we feel on different days. Tonight I cannot help but feel a sense of gratitude for my addiction.
I have swore, screamed, cried, and flat out wept like a child thought out my struggles with my addiction. But I find that it hasn’t all been for nothing. I now have greater wisdom, empathy, and mercy for others involved in addiction.
I think it is safe to say that no one on here is perfect, but each of us wants more peace of mind and soul that we do not have when using our addictions. This happiness isn’t a destination at the end of the road where all of our struggles will be in the past. But Rather joy is found in progress and self control.
I know that you are struggling and suffering, but I want you to know that it doesn’t have to be for nothing learn, grow, and be willing to help others and in time little by little you find the peace you are looking for.

The times when we're pushed to our limit are when we grow the most, remember when you're struggling that that's when the change is happening.

I agree with you!. We are achieving that peace on our minds day by day, and each day it becomes easier to get rid of our addiction. We are acomplishing our goals one step at a time, and on each step we gain more self-control.

Right! Yes we are all struggling but it isn’t a race to the finish. There isn’t a first or last place only the inward satisfaction of knowing that you did something hard. That you had the grit to face yourself and triumph. Fear, doubt, anger, and don’t help us when we yield to them. Life is full of joy it is just hidden behind our fears.

I am grateful for the chance to become a better man. I don’t win everyday, but I know that lately my wins out weight the losses. I have gained so much more of my life back. One day at a time.
