Hi there. I just wanted to inquire to receive some clarification on a certain issue about rebooting that I don't think was covered thoroughly enough in Your Brain on Porn.
Is NoFap recommending to quit porn for life? How about this...is NoFap requiring that everyone quit for life? I don't ask this for any reason other than I know how to work within the acceptable boundaries of this community. It is completely respectable if porn is pretty much a no-no to the most extreme degree here. But I just want to clarify before I discuss my own goals in depth about potentially rebooting for a while, but not completely taking porn and/or masturbation out of the remainder of my days.
TL;DR Is it acceptable to discuss on NoFap.com the planning for a potential return to responsible porn use after a successful reboot?

Yes, you have to quit porn for like IMO. What's the point of being here if 2 years later you're goint to be addicted to porn again. o_O

Thank you for your reply, Depo, but I do not think it answers my question. It is my fault, as I should clarify.
The reason I put the title of the post as Heresy is because I want to know if it is off limits to even discuss and explore the possiibility of going back to porn in the future. no hear me out. This isn't a justification I am making. This is because I work with a therapist, and they are very hesitant to recommend I completely abstain for life. This therapist is very, very good. But, to return to be default position of simply wanting to use this forum as effectively as possible, allow me to reiterate that I am not trying to advocate later returns to porn-use, or to push my views on others. I firstly want to know if it is okay to even discuss it.

I am pretty new to this but the way I feel is that one should take it one day at a time. And if it will make it easier for you to stop by thinking that one day you can get it back then go for it. However perhaps a better way to comfort your self would be to realize that real sex is a lot more pleasurable then porn and that one day you will find your permanent partner to enjoy life with.
And if you are already married or in a relationship that allows you yo enjoy the real thing then try to put more effort into appreciating that over porn.
